If you have a Unifi router it's easy to set up an L2TP VPN on it. iPhones, Macs, Windows PCs, and Android phones can all connect to that natively without any nasty third party software that has awful reviews like Tailscale.

  5. linus: got bypassed
also linus: teaching ppl how to bypass

  6. If I were netflix and really wanted to be an arsehole, I would focus on the smart TVs, since you can't really travel with them

  7. At $7b+ in Q4, does it really matter at that point? Jesus fucking Christ, corporate greed has gotten to an all new low.

Running a PC 24/7 as an exit node with European energy prices might cost more than just having another Netflix subscription

  8. Have you played yesterday poker on dero?

Or you could just cancel your account and use any of the free better alternative streaming sites.

  9. Using WireGuard+Pihole for that matter, it also let me use local plex away from home.

I used softEther for over a year now. Great VPN software.

  10. its official, after adobe, now its morally correct to pirate netflix 💀💀

  11. I was so long looking for an easier VPN solution without having to learn about OpenVPN or other protocols :). I can set my parents devices from abroad to connect to me abroad to access free internet 🙂 Does anybody know about similar products, just in case?

  12. This is that should tell the guys who stole your chanel.

  13. Thanks Linus, superusefull but as Spanish Netflix user, now I prefer to cancel subscription. Is to complex for not that good content now a days

  14. i just use a SOCKS Host Proxy with my main ubuntu server through SSH tunneling with keys of course (never port forward a server that uses passwords) – 3:25

  15. Linus – gets hacked
Also Linus – give access to your network PC to others – or order to watch Netflix.
I love LTT and I’m no hater, but is is a bit ironic

This seems insanely more complicated than Netflix should be. Easier to just cancel

  16. So much hassle…
Setting up linux machine with wireguard is much easier (you can even do it on your router, it's not a rocket science). And much MUCH faster.

  17. Netflix is becoming the thing that made cable tv so enjoying.

  18. Super easy!

    Not

  19. Is there any way for an Xbox to connect to a Raspberry Pi with TailScale or other solutions mentioned here?

  20. law naw

  21. haha. been using this for moonlight game streaming and LAN gaming party.

tailscale is so powerful tools. #TheMoreIKnow

    hope it stay free forever.

  22. I've finally figured out that whether LMG uses the dark or light mode is based on whether or not they have good news or bad news.

  23. what about ISP tv boxes, vodafone for example? We use the netflix app and I don't think I can vpn into another network with those… would have to have an android box or other device…

  24. There is one undisclosed solution to the Netflix problem: quit using Netflix. So many good but canceled shows and many more shows none one cares about.

  25. Big W Linus

  26. I've been waiting for someone to tell people this. A self hosted VPN was the first thing that came to my mind when Netflix first said they would crack down on password sharing

  27. i ♥ piracy.

  28. I have VPN permenantly on my phone… Will Netflix think I am not at home when watching netflix at home on my phone???

  29. Netflix: thanks for the tips Linus

  30. An old laptop is perfect for making your own VPN

  31. for this i expected less of a vpn and more of a device like a pi,
that impersonates your devices and connects automatically and frequently.

Literally the moment I have to do any fancy authentication to keep using my own Netflix account is the day I cancel the Netflix account.

  32. This is too hard.
    Pirating is easier

  33. Think I'd rather just not have netflix lol

  34. Did you buy a money pistol just for this video?

  35. interesting, the same technology as hamachi 20 years ago used to host lan games between multiple computers from multiple connections . it also reminds me of times when i used windows 98 and usb modem to share internet to another computer via winroute lite program

  36. why not pirate
