I can't believe how good of a GPU the RX 580 was.
Was the card I bought used for my nephew's first PC, and it's still a great card for extreme budget or entry PC's even all these years later. Why anyone ever looked at, why NVIDIA even made, the GT 1030 is beyond me.

(0:19) Yep. As someone who can't afford the latest high-end PCs, I instead take to my local online classifieds for older parts from other people who could afford them and had upgraded. That does mean my PC has a GTX 1070, but that's fine for my current use cases. To be fair, I could even search for a pre-owned GT 1030 if I wanted to.

i hate that the card i have the 1070 is now the minimum specs required for a game
I mean to be fair. If you don't have an igpu or have an i5 2500, and find a gt 1030 gddr5 at 25$, nothing kinda beats that for older games/league of legends. The whole system would cost less than a 1050 ti.
Why run Sifu at Ultra with NO Vsync? Wouldn’t it be much more interesting to know what graphics are possible with Vsync turned on?
I almost buy this because I mostly play indie game such as hollow knight or some indie title , but I decide to choose GTX 1650super because it also can run some 3A title such as resident evil 2 remake or starwar Jedi fallen order , and it still running fine , so I will not going to purchase any graphic card in 5years future because I am game mostly in switch

Yup! I’m still rocking with this gt1030. My only game was genshin impact although I really wanted to play mw2 haha
It’s a non gaming GPU or GPU for those who specifically doesn’t need horsepower. Believe it or not there are fringe cases that are like that, like rebuilding a system from old parts without integrated graphics for someone that doesn’t game, or building a tiny form factor machine for emulation on as low a budget as possible. But yeah, it’s not a good chip for gamers.

On that old monitor, just put a DVI to HDMI adapter on it & you're good to go my "fiend". It's a 5 min conversion & that I have done more than once & it'll run off any modern video card.
Please specify that the RX6400 requires a PCIe4 motherboard/CPU, or you lose so much.
Kanyon notice they haven't used Hogwarts Legacy to benchmark any cards yet? That game is rough on anything but new hardware and even then.

1030 is not e-waste, its extra gpu output, and that's it.
I bought a 1030 ages ago for a multimedia pc (needed low profile slot, HDMI out) and when that pc broke, I just gave it my dad to use for his "limited" pc gaming and media consumption. Served me well so far.
i always say when in doubt save for a 6600xt lol

I think the only place for this card is an old small office pc what can be used for some old games. There is no pci-e power and the space is small, but for a normal PC i think nobody choose this card.
I bet you there are more 1030 owners than 4090 owners in this comment section. Me being one of them.

I woder if there will be cards like RTX 2010 or 2030 since nVidia doesn't release new GTX cards anymore. 😛
