I’m on the 13 max pro I won’t upgrade until Apple makes a fold
forget the folders, I want a ipad mini that will make calls. One devise that does everything……………
Sometimes I wish Apple wouldn’t wait so long before releasing their “new exclusive innovative feature” that other phone manufacturers have previously released 4 to 5 years ago. As for Apple foldable’s I suspect we won’t see them until at least 2026 & be priced way above the £1700-1800 that Samsung & google currently charge. I’d like to see an iPad Pro style foldable that folds into quarter of its size and can be used as a phone when in that form factor. Well I can at least dream
the clamshell makes no sense to me. it adds complexity and thickness while adding very little advantage other than doubling as a stand if you're sat at a desk. That's a very niche scenario for so many negatives. The folding mini tabled makes much more sense as it has the huge advantage of more screen real estate.
So, anyone who innovates is trying to stand apart from mediocre Apple?
The design is similar to Oppo Find N2 and not the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 🙄🙄

As much as I want a folding iPhone, I can’t see it working with Apple’s inventory portfolio… Apple doesn’t just want to sell you one device. They want to sell you a phone and a tablet.

I am really close to switching my Samsung fold 4 to my primary device from my iPhone 14 pro max. Foldables are definitely maturing and especially with pixel fold, the biggest weakness of foldables which is the software compatible and optimization will be much improved.
Apple wouldn't go this route now because it would stall their sales of the iPad.

I just recently purchased an iPhone 14 pro max, and I didn't really go for the Samsung foldable because I'm not really embedded in the google ecosystem, besides it's price point. My manager Fred however bought the Samsung foldable and he uses it every day for business, and it seems to suit him just fine, so he has the best of both worlds where I would need a phone AND a tablet, but he has both in one with one data package from his carrier. Does that mean I would go for a foldable apple iPhone? I might consider it, I would wait for reviews to come out and to get a little into the coverage before making an informed decision, but it would be nice to have the combination of an iPhone AND a iPad. I would strongly consider it.
I don’t think apple will make a foldable iPhone it’s far too niche of a market and after trying them it really isn’t much better then using a big phone. Price is too high for the meh experience, for sure it’s cool tech but not enough to be mainstream.

I don't think we will see folding iPhone before 2026, Apple play with new things for 2, 3 years. They introduced dynamic island last year they will continue on that for 2 or 3 years before introducing something new.

"Yeah, like I really care about what Apple think's, their phones are"prison, it took them more years then it took Android to make the best phone just for Apple to come out with widgets, apple sucks, and it always will, I piss on Apple phones, pun intended.
IMO, the foldable iPhone is a horrible idea. Just because other companies are producing them does not mean they are practical or superior. I cannot imagine wanting or paying for an Apple foldable phone unless that is the only iPhone that Apple actually offers.
