Awesome Tips Google’s new Nest Hub offers touchless sleep tracking

The second-generation $100 Nest Hub resembles its predecessor, but a new Soli chip can keep track as you toss and turn throughout the night. The new Nest Hub also has light, sound and temperature sensors to take several factors into account that might affect your sleep. The motion-sensing Soli chip uses radar instead of a camera and allows the new Nest Hub to respond to your gestures.

  1. I wouldn’t even buy this junk. I bet Google abuses our sleep data as well.

  2. An absolute gimmick, but on the bright side I know how much my dog sleeps.

  3. You have to sign into your account on your nest hub. But what if everyone in the house want to use and control lights , thermostat and view door bell camera alerts? How do you manage the sign ID if you are sharing the nest hub?

  4. So if you’re not sleeping well Google will show you ads for some sleeping pills

  5. Does it work on the old nest hub or do I have to get the new one

  6. Will it also hear/sense 'other' things going on in the bed

  7. Soli radar to track your sleep. Really. That's the same radar that couldn't understand simple gestures on the pixel 4 and everyone turned the option off. Wonder what will happen 🤔

  8. Enjoyed the video, not sure I want or would buy the device just for sleep tracking

It’s not cool at all when you realize that data will be sold to other companies. This implicates everyone knowing when you sleep and potential danger for your safety. USE YOUR BRAIN

  9. Does it needs an Android phone to operate?

  10. Its a device which tracks movement using the soli radar, doesn't have a camera, audio and other processing done locally – and people are still complaining about privacy (what privacy exactly are you losing?) while most people sleep next to their phones/smartwatch. This looks like a great product

Not going to use any data to sell you ads 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  11. Who even needs santa clause anymore?

  12. A healthy dose of emf's washing over you while you sleep

  13. Just when you thought that your phone was enough to spy on you

  14. It’s a cool feature I guess but if I can find a Gen1 for less than $60.00 The sleep feature is not enough to justify me spending the extra money.

now if the local device can still show the clock when internet is down and handle a few basic things locally I’d pay the extra for that:

  15. I bet they will you how many times you passed wind 🌬 👎🤦‍♀️

I was really expecting a redesign..

  16. Interesting. I didn’t know about this new Google device. I didn’t know about Google Fit either.

  17. I spend about 10 waking minutes in my bed area per day. To dedicate a nest display to this area would be just a waste, unless I bought this device solely for the sleep tracking

  18. I would trade 20 years of my life for a quality sleep. Privacy is no matter at all.

  19. It's really funny how many people want sleep/fitness tracking without being tracked by a company 😂

  20. I know many people may be turned off by the subscription, but I am personally on board. I would rather pay for a service than the service selling my sensitive data.

  21. No on paying.

  22. Year: 2100

Phenomenon: The technological devices literally control everyone's lives 24/7

  23. This may save my budget for any special wristbands to do the same. Any progress on fitness can be checked easily while watching a weather forecast.

  24. I don't want Google knowing about my Sleep Patterns. I will not be buying this trash product.

  25. It only a matter of time for then to start sending people Ro, and Hims.
