  2. I think you will be better with a PS5 at this kind of budget

  3. Linus: "…there is no such thing as bad Motherboard Brands."

    Asus: 😅

  4. Next do 800

  5. I really like the approach you guys took to this build, getting a machine that just works and then upgrading it later is much more realistic for most people than dropping a ridiculous amount of money on a pc at once

  6. Enlisted? Here? Bro Gaijin needs to chill 💀

  7. The i3-12100f has a much better value while being only -2% slower than the 13100f. Did you consider this?

  8. Fun fact: That case also available in Green or White… and it comes under a different name around here LMAO

Nice! almost everything was made in the country of Taiwan.

  9. At least… What 4 you would need an case at all!? A shoebox would be enough, then AMD would be inside with six cores… 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Want to save – choose your principles wisely. More case or more POWER!?

  10. not 16 gb = bad

  11. I need SPDIF audio out so I can't really use the cheapest of the cheap motherboards.

  12. Ngl you had in in the first “Segway”

  13. 3 years ago the 5700xt was considered a cheap budget gpu looool, today it would have been considered a 4070 equivalent. don't get the 6600 it's a joke for that price

  14. Just watched your stepping g down video and just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed your videos, glad to see you honoring your values

  15. Why don't people like Patriot Viper ram? I've always used Patriot Viper ram and never had a single issue, while I've had plenty of issues with other ram brands.

  16. "It doesn't even offer on board video" Well that answers whether we're getting a video card or not 😁

  17. rip ryzen 3

  18. So I don't have to buy no operating system it's just once it's built it already has it😂

  19. 3 percent inflation!?! That'd be nice, here in the US old Biden has us up to our necks in devaluing the dollar

  20. Yup, nope. I'd buy a 2600 on AM4 before i ever got a quad core from Intel, i don't care how cheap it is or what platform it's on.

  21. PSA to anyone getting this case: I use this case in my Server PC with a GTX 1060 in it for video encoding, and I have issues with the GPU fan being extremely close to the PSU enclosure. I had to put a power cable under it so sometimes it ends up rattling against the fan and obviously damaging it slowly. Watch out for any weird noises the computer may make.

  22. lol i have the same case but i wish the front was just a big window

  23. Mabe i missed somting, but no Windows licence??

  24. Cool video! I would have liked more gaming benchmarks with modern games though, missed opportunity to benchmark against PS5 or Series X.

  25. Forget gaming… Is this budget PC good enough to learn UE5 on?

  26. Every video i see using that case makes me love it more (it's my own personal case but green instead of orange)

Future proofing is a bit of a trap, but most people should at least budget for a very good PSU, storage device, and case because those can last a decade if you choose wisely.

My OCZ PSU lasted through 4 major upgrades, my WD black lasted over 10 years before I got scared and replaced it, and my Antec P180 was in service for 10 years until I passed it on to a friend needing a budget build of their own. If I could do it again I would have purchased a more airflow focused case.

  27. Nope, that B660 board is actually horrible ( check reviews ), and this is a bad budget build. It would have been much better to spend slightly more for a decent motherboard and offset that cost by going with the 12100F.

But the smart play at this price level is to go AM4. The price of that terrible b660 board could buy you a decent b550 board. And you could buy a Ryzen 4500 to go with that RX6600. And yes, the 4500 is slow, but it's just enough to not bottleneck a RX6600. You'd save over $20 on the CPU, which should be spent on a second 8gb stick of RAM.

Alternatively, you could go with the i3 10100F at this price point. Though personally I wouldn't, because AM4 has a much better upgrade path than Intel's 10th/11th gen.

And if anyone is thinking 10100F at this price point – don't. The Ryzen 4500 actually beats the 10100F, and AM4 also has the better upgrade path than Intel's 10th/11th gen.

  28. i like how the Video is edied, the video shows how to assambel and Linus tell us the Information. 4:11

  29. This video would make more sense if motherboard prices went into the equation of AMD vs Intel. I made a 5600(non-x) build and it came down to less than a 1 USD difference vs LTT's build with only motherboard and CPU being the difference between the two.

Personally I'd never suggest a 8GB memory build even if it would be temporary. I'd rather save somewhere else if possible. 16GB should be minimum.

  30. This isn't really 500$ after you factor in taxes and shipping…

  31. i dont think that it was the cpu in doom eternal, i ran a 4670k with a rtx 4070 while waiting for parts and it ran max settings, rtx on 165fps no problems

  32. Typically I skip the sponsor ad, but after he actually faked me out at 0:37 I respectfully watched the ad without skipping

  33. Linus practically standing on the case broke me in so many ways.

  34. Im sorry who tf is buying a 500gb hard drive????
For that lrice you can get a 4tb one or a 1tb ssd😂

  35. Amd ryzen 5 5500 left the chat

  36. Please do a build from entirely parts from the literal garbage.

  37. From gaming at simmilar specs for quite some time, my best upgrade was dual chanel 16GB of ram. It makes a huge difference in modern titles. I would love from you to try to test games that this PC struggles with so you can comment on which upgrade would be needed.

  38. The score at 13:00
    Noice 😎 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
