Apple wants to be cool and innovative and performant and all that good stuff, or at least they want to seem that way. If that's so then they should use water cooling and liquid metal for their high end stuff. That would legitimately be a reason to go for Apple for an awesome experience out of the box, and it would give them more of a reason to lock down their systems like they are already doing, given that both of those things can kill the computer if handled improperly.

You forgot to mention the COST difference! The Mac Pro is probably 4x more money.

A couple years later hackintoshing has actually gotten to be a bit more of a pain pre-install but less of a pain post install, if you get the right hardware (asus mbs tend to have more luck, radeon card, compatible intel cpu/ryzen cpu, fenvi wifi card etc..) and give yourself a day or 2 to set it up and are not scared to ask for help on discord for example, you can get it running great very quickly! imessage may even work out of the box, like it did for me but my installation has appeared to be very lucky

You probably don't care, but it took me three days to get my Lenovo Thinkpad e560 (intel core i5-6200U, Intel HD 520 integrated graphics, which sucks, 16 gb of DDR3L-PC3-12800s, and a 500 GB 2.5 in PNY SSD, relatively old laptop) to work with macOS Mojave, which meant finding all of the appropriate kexts for this particular model with these particular specifications. It runs surprisingly well. This is my main machine. Personally, I only want it for GarageBand and to limit distractions within my studies by limiting the amount of video games that I could install. I hate Mac, but here I am nonetheless. I learned a ton about Mac and the Darwin kernel
You clearly knocked those solder joints loose from moving the mobo around the inside of the case. You can tell from the build video.

I built a hackintosh and it is more stable, cheaper, and more versatile than all original Apple computers I had before.
It is a computer built of modules and I can change and expand each of them. Until the next one.
And I have fun and enjoy the fact that I did something myself. Something that works.
I know there’s the slimmest of chances that this comment will see daylight, but I need help; can you answer whether or not Hackintosh is, in fact, truly dead on newer hardware? Specifically, Intel 12th gen? Asking for a friend running a Dell XPS 17 9720 with 12900HK. It’d be AWESOME to see you disprove the prevailing thought. Thanks for all you and the team do.
