vista had this feature, bruh
is it that bad to eject it software wise? cuz it just takes 5 seconds
Actually, not all programs skips write cache.
awe mann That was a GTX 1060 lol Edit: 0:30
Friend lost all his images moving from laptop to a USB. He didn't yank it, they just weren't there. Can't trust anything technical. If Safe Remove wasn't necessary then it wouldn't be an option in the TaskBar
is there a downside to that option? Why isn't it a choice by default?
Yeah, no. I've killed usb and SD cards this way on win10.
That slap😂😂😂😂
Legit tech tip. Holy shit
all these fake comments trying to tell one of the largest tech information companies that they are wrong haha
Lol
Ive got a usb drive which isnt even recognized by any computer anymore after just yanking it out of a win10 machine. Since then I always press safely remove.
Just make sure you don’t do this on macOS…I think… actually it’s been a few years since I last checked on Mac
Was this not standard back in XP?! Or ever? Rule of thumb, as long as copy processing is done (plus a few seconds), drive is updated and just pull. I think I can count on one hand how many times I’ve used safe removal, and all are tied to either shitty broken drives, mac users or “oops it was still doing things”.
I love when my work prints out graded
No thank you
I just yank it all the time these days, it's never gone wrong. As long as I am not copying anything from or to the drive awesome feature that I didn't know exists but one I use a lot.
Finally I can get my wife to stop yelling at me for just removing my flash drive
I’ve made this mistake on Mac and Linux plenty of times and it only turned out bad a couple times.
That's what she said
I thought this had been a thing for a long time so I have been yanking my thumb drives since at least 2010
I know it's not necessary anymore. But I did it for so long that it feels so wrong not to do it so I just still do it.
