i think they listened to randomfrankp's inital comments on the viper v2 pro. Pro = less features, that's why they added back the grips, wireless charging and RGB lmaooooo
They discontinued the wired viper mini, to release this, and it turns out the Wired Cobra is using the same Viper mini sensor with LOD issues. Classic RAZER.
I’m so disappointed with how racer’s attitude of doing 1 thing right and 3things wrong, is so frustrating, because you know they can do it, they just choose not to!
I can't imagine using any company who forces me to install more than a driver that runs 24/7 in order to use my hardware the way I want.

I believe they ditch the "mini" brand because of the embarrassing failure of deathadder mini. So they rebrand the viper mini because they don't want anything to do anymore with mini things (like my ex girlfriend use to say)

this mouse is so ugly that I can't belive who on earth designed this. the solution is simple. They just had to make viper mini shape and design wireless version with a low price(not 280$ which probably they think as a cheap mouse). it would have sold a lot.
Razer tryna profit from their most popular lineup without addressing the most basic rules of business. Customer satisfaction.

Now after hearing a line i've missed elsewhere (03:00) aren't Razer taking stuff out of context? Reviewers and consumers said "Less for more", didn't say the Viper V2 Pro was "bad", literally nobody said that, just overpriced as removing features to reduce weight, people expected a more competitive price. And at that time RVU was already down to 60-80$. Having competitors firmly at 80-100$, people expected the V2 around 120$ instead of 150-160 + 14.99-29.99 (14.99 was some sale back then) for dongle.

It’s on purpose, if they made an ideal mouse everybody wanted nobody would by their limited edition which has crazy markups.
I guess it’s fair to release a new “casual” mouse since they haven’t in a while, but knowing that the dav3pro and viperv2 are the current best mice on the market you’d think they would want to capitalize on a sweaty mini version. Oh well. Nobody bats 1000
razer messed up many years ago, never buying their garbage overpriced crap again. their driver / side app support is Bloatware prob a crypto miner

They probably only made it heavier to release a ''pro pro'' version that is lighter and more expensive.
Since my Logitch G9 died, I find no good mouse. Every one wants lighter ones. But I don't lift my mouse. I play with higher DPIs, not super high. 3000 plus minus. So not moving a lot around. But I need short mouse too, because I use claw-fingertip hybrid and need the space backwards. But almost every small mouse is so light and not wide enough for my big hands… the only one I found who was ok, is the Corsaier M65 but still to long XD also I use Linux, so at the moment it is between Corsair and Razer. At the moment I hope for good wireless versions because they are heavier. We will see.

Hi , this is not the last iteration of the viper mini, they said there is going to be at least one more , hopefully on their 3rd attempt they will release something ok for the people(another mouse reviewer asked them)

I think they don't want to make a wireless model of the mini version with high specs and cheap. And they avoid doing it right.
Heavier than the viper ultimate and I can't even use it because it's not truly ambi lol. At least it has 10 zone rgb.
So i guess… I will just stick with my G Pro X Superlight.
