This isn't proper AR. AR would pin the display to a real object, which would prevent nausea and also, you'd intuitively move your head to see any part of the virtual display that you can't see well, instead of holding your glasses and angling your head to look around inside them.

The next apple isn't a target to reach, that's a dumpster fire to jump into, it's free to do, just engineer your products into the ground and release a 2% better product a year for absurd figures.

You need to remember that ppl dont have 6x the money to buy better product. Linus Media Group really needs reality check for multiple things. This happened years ago too and I had to stop watching LTT for few years. Its a great company but money and endless supply of cutting edge tech makes you more blind than those glasses.

I so hope this tech gets good fast, in couple of years I wish I can have my AR glasses that look like normal(ish) glasses, can be controled via hand gestures, have the screen or UI tracked by position of your eyes, the electrochromatic glass is really cool so I'd add that, all that's left is to figure out how to connect it to the phone, which isnt hard but also Battery wireless. Or have it in some sort of low power mode with general UI and 20hours of use with simple tasks BUT have like strap ready with batteries in it to easily secure them on your head as well as give them juice for something more ambitious, games, movies that take whole screen and such.

I'm still just waiting for a respectably cheap and lightweight pair of AR glasses with open interfaces and whatnot.

I want a Raspberry pi for my face, where I can build some cool gadgetry with Arduino/Pi and export a few live icons or info overlays straight to my glasses. Even monocolor would be fine, if the color was high-vis or I could select what color I wanted when I bought it.

Edit: and not even a high-res full-eye display either. Either high-res for just part of the eye, or lower res visibly "clock LCD screen" text anywhere I wanted it would be fine

i wish they would have attempted use with the pad that doesn't put the glasses so far from the face, that's the reason they had the letterboxing issues.

What I hate about most of these products, correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't seem to support people who need glasses in the first place to…I don't know, actually see. This is a problem I had with early VR but I have no idea if they actually fixed it in more modern iterations. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say the probably have but idk.

You pick probably the worst unit to demo. Pick one of the name brand like tcl nxtwear or rokid ar. Not this trash.

Aren't these basically just a knock-off of the Nreal Air/Light glasses?
