I'm with you, everything about this is extraordinary. Except the name, I hate it. Xeon just sounds more professional, and that means a whole lot in the business world. Hell, Opteron was a fantastic brand, don't know why they didn't come up with something similar.

generation of chips to reduce power consumption to 35w or below.Power
consumption is becomming more important than performance.

The "F" series of eypcs (the high performance ones) are new for milan – they could signal the end of threadripper
Meanwhile watching this on my 44core Xeon processor as the Threadripper 3995WX is not affordable.
That's why I REFUSE anything AMD. One year I switched to AMD and had nothing but PROBLEMS! Ended up trashing that computer and went INTEL and haven't had any issues since.

Using a log function to fit AMD's performance is not accurate. There are only four data points in the chart, and they do not resemble a log curve to me. It looks more like a major jump in 2019 but in other years it stays pretty the same. Meanwhile, Intel is making steady progress, improving by a little bit every year. This inaccurate analysis is at least misleading.

i think amd went the "good guy amd" high road… one threadripper CPU would consume the silicon of two 5800x/5900x/5950x or FOUR 5600x… so they are spreading the pwnut-butter a little thin so all the pcmr children can have a slice of awesomesause
