I absolutely love the gigabyte Aorus products. I have their 1TB 4th gen m.2 drive with that sexy copper heatsink. Next plan is to get the Aorus mobo, i7 chip, and I’ve already got 64 gigs of ddr 4 Corsair vegence 3600mhz ready to go. Too bad the Aorus pc cases don’t look as good as the Asus Roy Helios

Shouldn't x86 be dead now that Apple has shown us what can be achieved on Arm chips like their M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max?
Can Windows not run on Arm chips? If so, then that would be a win win for everyone, even Desktop users. Who needs to run these power hungry x86 chips and stress over cooling and fan noise when Arm chips can do the job just as well whilst being quiet, staying cool and eating up less energy.
I'm not an Apple fan boy, I use Windows and Android, but also have a 10 year old MacBook Pro and an iPad Air 4, but I love what Apple are doing with their M1 chips.

I AM SO HAPPY SOMEONE SAID THIS. I love alienware, but they have been doing this for years. (you still get amazing performance with Aleinware) I bought my wife a laptop, that had an Intel Cpu, and that thing straight COOKS, and throttles. It literally burns her lap off. I had to go in and MANUALLY underclock the CPU just so she could use the damn thing, because it would instantly boost. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, AND FALSE MARKETING. Listen to Linus on this one , could save you some trouble.

What CPU is better for an alienware x17 r1 laptop with an RTX 3080 please. The i7 11800h or the i9 11980hk? it is so confusing out there right now! like which one of these 3 exact same specs laptops with the same screen full hd 365hz is better and worth it price wise.

The error rate on an amd cpu is 20-25 % of the proccesed data that means in ca a year you will be forced to reinstall an os so y will rethink on an intel based the error rate is max 10% max and if a chipset is also intel it will reduce the error rate to under 5% Wich means longer ssd life less baterry consumptions less heat on intel is ca 80°c but y kept an cpu on 120°c without problems

Gaming Laptop manufacturers need to hop off the thin and light bs and let razer have that niche market. Real gamers will take a plastic chonk with actual good cooling and more IO over thin and light and made of magnesium for a lower price any day of the week. when it boils down to it, a laptop doesn’t need to be thin. It’s just superficial marketing crap. Nobody even offers a chonky laptop with good cooling because of the dumb obsession with thin. FPS>LBS
indeed, intel CPUs arent the best for laptops, as they produce more heat than the ryzen ones, also if im right, the intels perform worse when both CPUs have the same Wattage caps.
meaning ryzen isnt only cooler, its also more effecient at the same powerconsumtion.
i mean the 8700k is a desktop cpu, but god damn, even with a nice nzxt case and 6 fans + Dark Rock Pro 4 (with push and pull on the cpu fan) that cpu gets toasting hot while all cores synced and just +100mhz OC (4.8GHz synced) while under full load. that was my last intel cpu for now, i paied 400€ on that cpu and it has no headroom for OC from my point of view. such a joke.
