I'm totally late to this party but my honest opinion would be do like a test if like 3-5 cables of a certain type and brand (so like let's say hdmi 2.1) test those out youknow 3-5 per brand and just give us a ballpark as to which brand is more reliable?

Heck yes! I can't stand it when I have to buy a really long HDMI or Display Port Cable and the damn thing fails. Ratings mean nothing if you have 5 of 10 20 meter HDMI 2.1 cables fail. Being able to see what brands are actually meeting spec will be great.

A dedicated cable website curated by Linus Tech tips with all the results posted (not just single wires but batches of specific ones for a baseline score) would be absolutely amazing. Plus you'd be able to monitize it by having affiliate links to each cable manufacturer, even the ones that score poorly.
