Alienware is the out-of-this-world system integrator that produces, monitors, keyboards, gaming PCs and well, a whole lot more. While we’ve been super positive on their QD-OLED gaming monitors how is the rest of their lineup? Their Gaming Prebuilt, Aurora R15, was maligned by the DIY community, but maybe their fully redesigned Aurora R16? With an Intel Core i7-13700F CPU an NVIDIA RTX 4070, it just might be a good setup. Only one way to find out.

Huh, not long ago I suggested on a GN review of the R15 that Alienware should just build a more conventional outer box to go with their internal chassis, and it turns out they did just that!
11:40 …those who are 'tech-sensitive' with the force can literally just shake a product and know its performance capability and whether it is 'alright' or not… bro also goes one step further and guesses within $200 of the actual price – that is Price Is Right™ level of speculative-ness right there
Sega GameGear was lit Linus… dont front.
I have an Alienware Aurora R4 and it was a great computer… don't know how they hold up today.
Nice Deafheaven shirt!
This newish crew linus is sticking in his videos… just isn't working, they add nothing.
What game is 3😮😮
please give me one pc to study and work, i'm from indonesia ☹
You didn't test the webcam.
That dude is cool
Would you please do a video on this local computer building place they do rent to buy, The name they go by is No Compromise Gaming?
My Logitech mouse and Corsair keyboard are cheaper… and way better. Dell would have to pay me to get me to use anything Alienware tbh
I'll concede they have decent monitors. But again my ROG monitors are someof the better monitors I've personally ever used… especially for 1440p 240Hz (280Hz OC)…
Alienware hasn't existed for like a decade. It's just a badly designed Dell marketed to "gAyMeRs". Mostly just clueless parents and really clueless rich and new pc gamers buy this trash.
Yikes…
And that's what you call form over function it's gotten a lot of car manufacturers into a crap ton of trouble not to mention lawsuits that crippled one manufacturer that is still limping on it's GM
Gear gear was amazing.
Hey Linus I have question for you have you ever reviewed the 27mq monitor
I appreciate the lack of ltt product dropping in this video… might even turn notifications back on haha
LINUS holy crap you have dropped more things in this video then in any single video ever!
Picked up a pair of those AH720's on sale with a $50 gift card and they are very good!
Any old school Dell enthusiast knows that blue 3.5'' drive bay caddy dates back to the mid 2000s tower computers.
"Low end GPU" – Linus while pointing at a 4070
"it's like having the charging port on the bottom, what are you an idiot?"
apple mouse: if that's the case my iq is going to the minus digits.
friends don't let friends (even internet friends) buy dell, ever, yes that means Alienware(dell) too. Just don't do it.
Those rocker and dial knob MIGHT be possible to use with DAWs when making music. Like pitch bending for example. I don't know why a gamer would want that tho. For any musician it would make more sense to spend 150$ to a keyboard with mod wheel and 50$ to the computer's keyboard, so it's not really a meaningful feature for that either.
Btw pretty hard to talk about keyboards and keyboards in the same comment and trying to make it obvious which is which =D
That is my absolute favorite short story. Solid reference to start the video
Wouldn't be a Linus tech tip video without linus dropping something 😂
Performance and test of dell hardware and yet no scientific metrics, jesus
First time you build your own PC, is the last time you buy anything Alienware.
Overpriced every time.
Day 26 of asking for a free pc
Where is wan
The X16 is terrible. It easily reaches 95c while playing old games. I had to return mine for a refund.
What game is that?
well China has purchased dell so have at it
Is this sponsored? The description reads like Alienware copy.
I have Alienware M18 and love the thing. Never had a problem the runs cool while gaming still on my lap.
it's dell sooo pretty much tells you it's crap.
Wouldn't buy one of their pc's these days but i have the AW3423DW QD OLED monitor and i absolutely love it!! it's insanely good. Peripherals i went gmmk pro keyboard and gmmk model 0- in pink for my mouse. i doubt i'd pay dell prices for any Alienware peripherals the only reason i got the monitor as i paid half price from Amazon warehouse as it was "used" not a mark on it and under warranty until late 2025. I wouldn't have paid full price for it although that's one thing i kind of think justifies the price more.
My favorite gaming PC has ZERO RGB.
I really want to get that X16 laptop. Despite the obscene price tag, it seems like a really solid performer. I also need new headphones, so its good to know those big ones have ANC.
