Did you know Sega made gaming PCs? Well, they do, they’re modern, and they have been building machines like this for well over a decade. But there’s more to the story than just that! Did you know these PCs are used in arcades, run Windows, and have always on DRM that makes Denuvo look like child’s play, and it has lead to clandestine networks of arcade operators outside of the games’ native regions? How does it work? What caveats are there? Will this be your next sick rig?
Big thanks to these videos:

Fvk SEGA, I was rooting for them all these years. smh!
Why do you challenge Nintendo lawyers but not Sega lawyers?
These underground networks operate under threat from Sega but more importantly BandaiNamco that they wont make this knowledge easily accessible to anyone who wants to play these games at home. They are sympathetic that they aren't meeting the demand for their games, but they are only ever gonna accept the arcade industry's return in North America, and not pirated home play, as you can see in Japan.
ALLS-UX?
all sux?
Love how relatable James is as a small enthusiast
“I was alive” 😂
8:15 bro that is just Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Is that Deep fake linus? I saw some artifacts around his head. And the lips still didn't seem to quite line up
Hopefully one of these days, I'll be able to get my hands on one.
Sooo…did anyone else say SAYY-GAHH as soon they said Sega in the video???
Please never call puyo puyo "bizzaro tetris" ever again.
Note how in Australia, we are I think the only exception when it comes to actually having arcades that run on the offical servers
Piracy should not be a crime, IP laws as they exist are a travesty, preservation of media regardless of form is important because media is culture.
Yes it is true that the creators of a work deserve to be paid, but like we see with the SAG AFTRA strikes the people who actually put the work in get a pittance compared to the capital owners or high power execs that reap the benefits of IP for decades. People like Bob Iger don't make the media you enjoy, Brian Roberts, John Stankey, or Rocco Commisso don't build or maintain the infrastructure that brings it to you, Tim cook, Michael Dell, Enrique Lorez, Jeff Bezos, Bob Chapek, neither build nor design the machines you use to view/play it and their gaggle of investors on wall street don't either. There are exceptions but for the most part the people really making money on what you enjoy aren't the ones that made it, and just as science and technology are built up upon decades of discovery from people across the globe so too is artistic influence.
The king neither sows the soil, nor does he reap it, he doesn't raise the cattle, he doesn't build the barn, nor the house, doesn't produce furniture nor tools, he doesn't teach, he doesn't tend to the sick, he leaves the defense to armies and navys, and yet he eats and lives in luxury, why? Well he owns the land of course, and by that it is his right to dictate.
All of capitalism is layers of abstraction, with kings at the top, we've not strayed far from feudalism in effect. The artist, the farmer, the cook, the doctor, the craftsman, the factory worker, the technician, the carpenter, the driver, all these people and more labouring for the abstract concept of fiat currency so that they may be able to buy from those that specialize in things they don't, but we still have kings skimming off the top.
This is the most anti consumer hardware from the factory I've ever seen.
Bringus studios found the bios key
Nice !
Hi bemaniso, I know you're here!
curious how long it will be until all the large youtuber channels are nothing but adds, shameless plugs for their merch, and 12 shameless plugs for "their sponsors" that no one gives a toss about..
They should have named it, Basic Amusement, Linkage , System. Or, BALLS for short.
The xbox was kind of the successor to the dreamcast … just saying … also regarding sega games …
As somebody who owns a cabinet with an always online requirement for it to function, the worst pain imaginable is when I had somebody steal the bloody router I used to hook the damn thing into the server. That. Sucked.
Preservation, preservation, preservation , Companies don't even keep the source code, almost everything is lost, Satellaview is an example among hundreds of others.
There are cases of companies resorting to cracked versions when re-releasing their games because they don't own the source or means to remove legacy protections.
Give a like to ban horo
Me (See's title) "WUT"
The videos about a SEGA Gaming PC and their sponser is seaSONIC power supplies nice.
He picked Suketoudara! Third best PuyoPuyo character, top two are Sonic and Satan. Highly recommend PuyoPuyo Tetris 2!
bro do you know mame 32?
Love the way people that aren't into Puyo Puyo will immediately gravitate toward "The Fish"
Universally appealing character
The round 1 near my house USED to have the Initial D game, and they even had the ID cards. They had it in full Japanese for the "whole experience" but I imagine they just couldn't get a translated version. Sucks cuz it was probably the coolest game my round 1 had.
Was on Lineage 2 private servers before WoW was even released.
I swear I can smell the other guy.
I can understand why Sega try to go to such lengths based on the fact they probably have revenue sharing arrangements with operators that allow them to sell the hardware at a lower upfront cost. I'm kind of surprised that despite all the methods of DRM they're using operators still find a way of circumventing them.
He called it a gamepad NotLikeThis
😁👍
You can certainly get into the Windows IoT device without all that if you know what you are doing (bitlocker, bios password, etc.). I've dealt with this at work before.
I dunno. I’ve downloaded a bunch of Sega games from the App Store. Yes, I still play Sonic the Hedgehog. I’m old. Lol
Yea, SEGA doesn't care about about Puyo 🥲
…in the West. In Japan, that's a gigantic franchise.
BTW, this video idea was taken from Bingus Studios. LTT is officially transforming into a content farm where they dont credit the people where they get the content from
The writing for this video is all over the place. Perhaps sometime it's not neccessary to pad out the video?
what a shitty time for gaming..uhg
So your the reason we have the relatively small community's being overrun by lots of children begging for game dumps. Congrats 👏
bruh
Puyo is a great competitive puzzle game btw
how many sponsor shout outs did this video have?
I say this every time because it is becoming more and more apparent; piracy should be a consumer RIGHT
love seeing james as a host on the main channel
Wow TeknoParrot finally getting some mainstream attention
