Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
They need to keep the government out of everything
So, I don't know what this article is but I guess it's a PR piece for different private companies who have very different goals for building rockets?
Jeff Bezos' goal has been private tourism. If there isn't another flight in 2022 I guess ticket sales hasn't taken off the way he was hoping?? I guess even William Shatner's 5 minutes of babble didn't sell it to the other 1% in wealth in the US?
What is true about the shift from the US govt to the private sector is the tax system. The amount of tax the US govt takes in now is SO low that every govt. agency is underfunded, some to the point of being near non-functional, even though the US population wants to attack the agency when something it deals with goes wrong. The budget for NASA is no different. This hole "NASA concentrated …………." is 100% about the budget cuts due to a never end tax cut plan that's reduced the federal budget down to the point to where it can't even maintain the US interstate highway system, which is its responsibility.
And these tax cuts benefit the most wealthy through a DOUBLE tax cut. One was in the capital gains tax, which is income from investment, and then in 2017 the tax cuts on business, who people are invested in of course and so investors get the benefit of business having less taxes and hence greater profit. But the end result is a series of successful investments means a person can become insanely wealthy off investment and when they remove money, which used to be taxed much higher, they pay very low tax, and that encourages the removal of wealth from business whenever it suites the investor, mostly. Sure there are still penalties for short term investing, but that's gone within one year of holding an investment.
So yes, as taxation has left the uber wealthy who make their money through investment, space flight is now firmly in their hands. Enjoy. Don't be stupid enough to think it's for the common good though since after all billionaires are in the business of becoming trillionaires.
They aren't close
NASA
Blue Origin hasn't gone to orbit, they've only reached sub-orbit.
Several rocket startups are ahead of Blue Origin.
And only one of these companies space stock is currently being traded publicly. Virgin galactic.
very exciting time to see the space race…hope they're all be successful.
I wouldn't say SpaceX and Blue Origin are leading the way. SpaceX is leading the way – full stop.
I like looks of Jeff’s CowBo… I mean RocketBoy Hat
Imagine if those billions were poured into helping people on earth, today.
Great video 👍
bezos threw his hat in the ring “literally” —?! uhhh you mean figuratively. how did this pass editorial lol. jeff didn’t throw his hat anywhere. so it is figurative.
I really thought thev title meant billionaires were buying regions of open space. I'm like, how does someone buy a region of nothing, a vacuum, the universe. That's about about as ridiculous as buying a piece of a planet needed for survival. 😏
Many won't get it.
One time for the Star Trek > Star Wars people.
2:05 she's cute 🙂
Anyone else wanna induce Kessler Syndrome to give our planet a time-out for a few generations? Really make it clear that nobody's going anywhere until we sort some stuff out.
🐶👍
6:23 New Shepard hasn’t made any flights to low Earth orbit. The vehicle doesn’t have this ability and wasn’t built to.
Focus on solving the problems on the ground, instead of planning to evacuate the planet. Maybe the rich don't mind choking the planet for more profits as they will have an exit plan to leave earth.
Spacex founder Elon Musk can I have land on mars and how much it cost for it if you start selling
Prolly just blow up like his cars
Jess Harrington is mad gorgeous 😍
While so many are needing an affordable house to live in, others are getting up into the atmosphere and beyond ! 💕 I’ve forgotten how to dream
Fake space!
like 39 very nice dear…..🌼🌼
destroying the space
heat, hunger, no water, millions die faster because of these greedy narcistics
🤮🤮🤮
I wish one of these tech billionaires would make a space elevator
To put Bezos next to Musk is totally inaccurate considering how spacex is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of vision and execution. Bezos throws money at it while Musk is all in. One leads, the other copies
GO SPACEX & NASA.
Have a good day everyone
