Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
I sold phones for a bit over 8 years (while i was in college) and typically my recommendations were always : Go for something familiar and if you plan on rocking it for over two years go for something on the higher end (read flagship). But with Linus we have a special opportunity here. We can use him as a proper guinea pig for devices that would deserve a fair shot but the bar for entry might be too high for the average consumer. And so I think that going for something from Sony's catalogue would be really cool. They have such a different approach to their smartphones design now and I think they should get more attention. Alternatively just get whatever high end pixel is available. Youll get support for quite a while and a relatively hassle free experience while getting an above average experience in a properly priced package.
I think the fair phone is a good option
Does gamers nexus have any phone recommendations? 😮
Don't compare siri and google assistant without tossing in Bixby.
I love how he literally describing an iPhone 15 Pro.
99% of iPhones are IP67 or 68
You already wear socks with sandles, time for a fanny pack.
Seeing a detailed review of the Fairphone and Linus daily driving it will be good, but if I'm honest if I'm getting a Phone for myself now it would probably be a Pixel.
get an iphone
Sony's flagship, Xperia 1 V
Im still using a note 8, I am suprised you think the note 9 is laggy. Maybe its just the apps we use?
iPhone 15 plus
Please at least try the old LG Rebel 4 phone, it's not the greatest but it gets the job done
Might be a odd ball. But OnePlus 9 Pro with Matrixx 6.0 custom rom! It's the best around!
ive been running the oppo find x5 pro i cant be happyer and havent had anyproblems ever ive gone trough galaxy 8-10 iphone 11-12 and i missed so much when using both brands but with oppo i almost got all the good things both should try it
nothing phone 2
That scouts honour will be tested with this one
GrapheneOS running on the new Pixel Fold.
I wanna see you go for the new pixel. Pixels don't get enough love
SAMSUNG GALAXY S6+ WITH THE EDGES
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. Austin seems to like his!
Rog Phone 7 Ultimate
Shame tallking all about ios about support for other divices.. ok ok theres few ios phones and dozens of androyd
The iPhone 15 Plus sounds like the best candidate here.
Linus, just get get the iPhone 15 Pro Max, trust your friend Marques, I've just got mine and I speak from iPhone (original 4GB model) and I've nearly had every one of them since. It covers nearly everything you've asked for 🤞
iPhone 15 pro max. Trust
s23 ultra or iphone 15 pro max
why not go red magic 8? or 7
ZenPhone 10 – MKBHD's best phone he never uses because hes always testing new phones. One hand ability. It has a fingerprint scanner in the power button. it has as a head phone jack. Wireless Charging. 30W charging with the included charger (with a charging limiter). compact but it has the same size battery as the much larger flaggships.
Or Pixel Fold replace your Samsung fold with a pixel fold.
I guess an Iphone
If you could wait till next year then galaxy s24 ultra could be a good choice for you.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3
Just get a good ole one piece phone that is waterproof. Problem solved. No worries about pools, beaches, rain and tears.
S23 Ultra
We need the Don Cherry take on the pool drop
Welcome the budget 200 buck phone race!
LOL you call that phone slow? try a 2012 phone running Android 7.1.1 (Lineage OS 14.1) when stock Android was v4. Calls, music, radio and nothing else, otherwise I'll probably lose my patience for an app to open and smash it to pieces. It does have a chunky battery that lasts 4 days, so at least there's a positive point in using it. ONE positive point.
Honeywell CT45
buy a nokia 3310, it will probably out live all of humanity but it's proven itself as one of the most indestructible things on earth and it's probably the only thing that can survive being dropped by you
edit: 2:10 damn it, I think a nothing phone 2 would be pretty good
I honestly want you to use the motorola razr+ 2023. Just for the nostalgia of arguably the worlds most notorious flip phone making a new name for itself. I have no idea if it's a good phone, but I think it would make for great content, and I'm genuinely curious about how Motorola is doing in 2023.
That said if we're talking practically, the S22 Ultra can be found for around $600 for a 512GB if you can find a refurb at Best Buy and the phone itself is godly. You get the S Pen, and don't have to pay the premium for this year.
1 – Moto Razr+ 2023
2 – Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G
fold 5 makes sense since you are used to a foldable. s23 ultra is a solid choice if you are sick of folding a phone l. but latest galaxy a series would make great content after 3 months.
the reason i changed from Android to Apple, is that my last android which is Samsung Galaxy S8 was already slow on its 2 years of life span, its lagging as hell, i don't know about the newest Android phones now a days but i'm happy with apple's eco system and i don't miss customizing my phone
Canada, the flanders of the world and the starters of the destruction of occident 😀
Pixel 8 Pro being announced tomorrow. Definitely a perfect candidate.
Would love to see the fairphone 5
It doesn't have a glass back so it should be resistant to dropping it, its also fast enough and I'm curious about the repairability
iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max
Making us do the vote on Reddit is a bit weird. Really a google form could have worked just as good but I guess there would not be much discussion.
Please do Fairphone
A used iPhone 8 is your best option, the lower the battery health the better
