  1. Imagine each led light was a Stirling engine utilizing temperature on exterior environment and temperature in interior environment 🤔. Vehicles charged by environment temperature 😆? Plus sun light for Stirling engine effects .

  2. That’s the same light effect I do on my products. You guys are late with that technology.

Cars at the back " oooh I'm blinded by the lights"

  3. i like the way lights look on cars…always have. these 'fixtureless' lights don't do a thing for me tbh.

  4. how about we start with ppl properly using the lights they already have…

  5. Distractions.

  6. Could be a safety issue if they distract from the break lights.

  7. All he’s shown was a demonstration on the rear. This won’t work for the headlights because those lights will not be able to project far enough to be proper headlights

  8. “Uhm, lemme think… no, I don’t like it. It’s illegal now. No wait…. Ok, wait… no.” —the government.

  9. They may be simple led lights just with a few complicated technologies

  10. After monthly payments for heated seats, BMW starts charging $5 monthly to take advertising off of your car. (2030 headline) congrats!

  11. Don't fix whats not broken, this will only make it more expensive, and more difficult to repair.

  12. Why tho

  13. Every time i sees futuristic cars… I love more the classical cars !!

  14. Hit that car once totalled

  15. US regulations are unbelievably ancient. We can't even have outside rear view cameras to replace the outside mirrors.

  16. good luck with repair costs when you get hit

  17. Repair of these lights would be quite high.

  18. Soon older cars are going to be a commodity.

  19. Hey its Brian Cooley. It's been a while since I saw a car episode on CNET.

  20. You're right about the US federal regulations lagging so far behind tech. Remember In the 70s and 80s when all mercedes that were exported the the states looked like they were hit with an ugly stick! 🤣

  21. We still don’t have all led in cars …. This will take like 100 years to take off

  22. What a waste

  23. I think this concept is great but not practical.

  24. The company is publicly traded today around $60 a share.

    No

  27. Sometimes I really wonder how people make huge profit investing in the stock market, I know investing is a legitimate way to gain financial freedom but how is it done?

  28. I like it but, There's no point on putting turn signals because most of the idiots now adays don't use them, hopefully I make a good car that combined both new elements and old elements, who knows maybe I can team up with these people to use those lights

  29. Only Brian Cooley Can explain technically in a clear fun simple easy to understand why thank you sir.

  30. And this fixes what problem? I think the sequential turn signals are distracting already. Standards are important for safety.
When headlights became plastic instead of glass they look like crap after a few years in the sun..

  31. They took away our chrome and now this? (shaking head in sadness)

  32. No one understands material cost and how this can actually be made for way cheaper than you think

  33. Custom headlights and tailight companies watching this:

  34. this title is so silly. “lighting” does not “want” anything

  37. You could use such a technology to communicate with other drivers. e.g. – "You're following too closely," or "Meet me for drinks?" or ????

  38. This would help with weight, wind resistance and cost.

  39. Imagine the road rage potential. Middle finger 🖕🏿 moji 🤣

Nice, but problem with that, like led they dont get warm enough to melt snow. Few years back in my area they replaced traffic stop lights in the summertime with led, When winter hit they filled with snow.

  41. The biggest thing they need to change is stop having brake light same color as the turn signal

  42. no point in this… the rear window can be used to convey messages and talk to us

  43. I'm thinking manufacturer recall on defective illuminated panel or rear illumination module…..

  44. The lights are the eyes of the car. Every car has two faces.
