  1. people making their living on YouTube don't object to adblock or consider it piracy because they know the monetization is a mess anyways and make better money on sponsorships and merch

  2. Me watching this on revanced😂

  3. The problem with users is that you can't, EVER, predict and solve everything they will do. That's why they are being scared by. That yt notification about adblocks and unistall it instead of pressing the damn icin to deactivate it on that website. It can't be easier than this.

  4. Those damn Teams-Notifications.. i was constantly checking my TEAMS xD

  5. My blocker still works and always has. I also use firefox. Doesn't matter if youtube finds a 100% way to stop all blockers anyways. I would just locally download the vids I want and watch add-free in a VLC playlist (I do this with twitch VoDs for years already). They will never win this pointless war. Not having a blocker on the web is unsafe, even the FBI recommends users use an adblocker lol (don't just take my word for it, just google it and see the soruces lol)

Considering most of the ads on YouTube are either malicious or a scam, I think I'm fine with keeping my ad blocker installed. Also, I get ads for ad blockers, so, like what am I supposed to do?

Itss not hard dissable ad block press f5 turn back on and play……sorted!!!!

  6. "ad blockers cant watch this"

    watches with ad blocker

  7. the ai exec order basically does nothing outside of the exec themselves, and companies that interact with them.

they cannot craft law. and the things they enumerate beyond the scope of the executive and its interactions are things that require congressional legislation process to accomplish.

    once again, the executive oversteps.

  8. what? I don't see any ads..

  9. Wow Linus's Mic sounded terrible, way harder to enjoy this week

  10. The ad block ban has successfully moved me away from chrome.

I don't have an issue with ads around content but YT is way too aggressive to the point of illegal in the amount and duration served per hour (UK). When it stops videos every 90 seconds or so for an advert and placing popups over the lower third were steps too far for me.

  11. I refuse to not use an adblocker. Ads are just malware at this point also sucks your watching a video that super quiet and you get fisted by "RAID SHADOW LEDGENDS"

  12. Only a matter of time until Youtube integrates the ads into the video feeds. Adblockers wont be able to distinguish it from the actual video you're trying to watch and an ad.

  13. Ublockorigin users can purge their ublock cache to bypass the youtube blockers.

  14. I’m on vacation and hearing all those teams notifications gave me severe PTS

  15. Time is the most precious thing we have. Bring back the lite subscription that's only for ads, and I'll gladly pay.
If this thing ultimately defeats every adblocker, I will resort to 3rd party youtube clients. I refuse to pay with my time.

  16. Google probably tries to do with adblockers what Micro$oft is famous for – Embrace, extend, and extinguish. With their own solution they could still allow for data collection from various trackers and step by step reduce the effectiveness of it by for example not allowing it on their platform.

  17. Whats up with your audio linus 😅

  18. YouTube has become a soet of search machine for a lot of people and a host for tutorials, product manuals and more.
Sometimes, but not always, you're just looking to find the right video for the right problem. Now imagine sou had to wait 30-60s or even longer between every. Single. Result. Ans all the before you could even tell if the video you clicked on is actually going to help you. Imagine if typing something into google itself would serve you an ad between every search attempt.

Ads have become too much. Not just on YouTube. Having Adblock is not just about YouTube. The recent shift from a lot communities moving their Wikis away from Fandom is also showing this. Heck, i.e. the german government actually endorses the use of adblock in an article about cyber security because of the rise is malignant ads being served, data being collected and often even unchecked ad content itself. There has been souch pornography, scams and other types of harmful information in ads – not only just on YouTube – that the internet isn't as safe as eith an adblock – especially for kids.
I have to re-enforce this statement: Using Adblock is not against YouTube or Creators, it's against invase, inappropriate and dangerous advertisements.
