  1. Video feedback here is super interesting!!! Seems like people have finally accepted the shift to a cleaner / smaller board after years of full-sized being the norm.
My quick thoughts on my process for this review: I'm still impressed with the overall product EVGA is putting out as their first major release. Yes, it looks dated and the keycap font is rough, but I've always been in camp function/features over looks.

Happy to see many people, though, are more interested in TKL or 60% boards going forward! Whenever I show off those smaller boards, people usually complain that there's mo numpad and request more full-sized layouts, so I guess this just proves that I can't please everyone lol. Either way, just very interesting to see the feedback on this video with an overwhelming amount of people against the Z20. For something that can be picked up for $88 if you own other EVGA products and has this many features, thought it would be a good competitor to Corsair and Razer.

This keyboard sucks. I highly suggest you goto the evga forums and see for yourself the tons of people with the random disconnect issue. Even after RMA just to have yhe issue occur again. I made the mistake of listening to reviewer like this guy ans bought this jeyboard. I regret buying this keyboard due to the shut off issure.

  2. ok

  3. just a heads up, this is on sale for 45 usd on evga's site right now. absolute steal.

do not buy this JUST FOR THE RGB. The rgb software is an absolute nightmare to use. Works fine, types good I guess, but don't buy it unless its on sale.

  4. Would love it if they make a TKL or 60%

  5. 50 bucks now

  6. the title for this video is cringy for some reason, but the video wasnt bad.

  7. Does this need the software to change the colors? 😩 I wanna get this for work but can’t install the software on my work pc

  8. i have this keyboard, it's dogshit

  9. It’s 56$ now on Amazon and at the price it kills others .

  10. Doble-Shot Keycaps?

I'm not a fan of the design, however people don't seem to get that this "beauty" sells for 60 to 80$ on amazon.
    – Optical switches durability and "quickness", without plastic rattle like huntsman's v1, 4k poling for what it's worth it
    – Dedicated macro keys, per-key rgb, usb/3.15mm pass-through, TOF sensor.
    – You're looking at 200$+ price range features here. Switching to ABS caps with a normal font is easy and cheap, yes it should have come with these by default, but for 60$ I'm whiling to let such a thing slide. The only real downside to this thing is that ugly evga logo.

Is this thing better than a k100, a huntsman v2 or g815? No it isn't, but it has all the features these boards offer with the addition of a macro-able ToF sensor for less than 1/3 of the price. If you have the money and are willing to spend more go for the huntsman v2… or the k100 if you want the dedicated macros. As much as I love logitech's low profile aesthetics I cannot recommend the g815/g915 at such price range.

  11. The GMMK concept is definatelly a good concept but IMHO way overpriced. A slab of aluminum can not be that expensive. Similar concepts follow now other brands like EVGA with its Z15 but I had already an faulty Z15 one and EVGA does not replace it "no questions asked". Sending it back I do not because I can still use the switches and only the PCB seems to be bad. Times are gone where companies just replaced you an defect product. Now warranty isn't allmost anymore able to be claimed at all. I already wanted to buy the PCB alone from EVGA but they refused claiming "it's propietary". The Right to Repair triggered on them some horrors as it seems. I can not find eighter an standalone PCB for the 10% GMMK as such as its not repairable neighter. The PCB is most likely the part which failes first (transistors, etc.) and then the USB cable which is fixed as well on the Z15. So clearly these mechanical keyboards have built in planned obsolescence. I told EVGA that and that seemed to have triggered some bad mood as well on their Customer Service.

EVGA gives a shit about their customers – something normal for german and taiwanese companies as I have experienced in my life already.

The Right to Repair has to be enforced in the US as such as all parts are commercially availlable. The companies could save lots of money by dumping warranty at all and referring only to buy the spare parts on your own when it fails lets say 1 month after purchase. Even graphic cards could be repaired like that selling to the customer the PCB of those. If an fan quits the customer can buy the spare part on eBay, Amazon, Best Buy or Walmart for repairs. The items have to be built modular obviously then so anyone can repair it.

  12. Why does no one like the font? I think it’s the best font on a keyboard that I can remember

  13. Which one is better?
    Evga z20
    Vs
    Corsair K70 mk.2 low profile

  14. i got this keyboard for $65 bucks off amazon. i didnt know about the TOF sensor and it could be programmed. Overall i enjoy this keyboard.

  15. its 65$$ on amazon. Worth it?? 🤔🤔

  16. These things go on Newegg for like $60 now. Picked one up in the clicky flavor for my first optical keyboard.

  17. Just bought this kb for 65 (:

  18. for the price they had it for at launch it was a terrible choice but for $60 this keyboard is unbeatable!!!! its noisy compared to the g810 its replacing but not a big deal…hopefully they improve the software

  19. My girlfriend just gave me this as an early Christmas present and I love it!! It looks so clean and I’m very impressed with the build quality!

Brought one for $65 and the quality is subpar. The 3 key is sticky and the right shift key arrived loose and not secured to the stabilizers. The right shift key is just flat out defective. It will not secure to any stabilizers. Every other large key secures to the right shift key stabilizers just fine.

  20. buying one only cost 60 usd lol

  21. As active game mode
