Side note: donations are in my channel's about page.
1:29:00 They'll have scrambled the jets in case they had to take the plane down outside of any heavily populated areas. As an old Vulcan once said "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". It's better to lose a few hundred people and one plane, as opposed to several thousand and critical buildings/infrastructure.
Sponsor waterproof shoes: Probably covered in PFAS forever chemicals for water resistance.
Nad = not a fan 😂
Make me think of "Dinosaurs" the 90's TV show. "Not da Mama!" (Bonk, baby hits father offer the head with a cast iron frying pan)
We don't say "euro cents" just "cents". We never deal with other currencies in everyday life, so no need to differentiate with the USD cents
Regarding the bankruptcy question, I cannot speak to UK or Spanish law, but in the US there are different classes of debt, and some debt cannot be discharged by bankruptcy. In general, debts from court fines, fees, and punishments cannot be discharged. I think a lot of educational debt might not be dischargeable, either. And creditors can go into court and make the argument that based on how certain debts were accrued (like with fraud or some intent on deception in order not to pay the debt) that the debts shouldn't be discharged.
On top of that, because the idiot was 18, creditors might not go after just the kid. Presumably, he doesn't have a lot that could be considered assets that could be used to help pay off some of the debts. (Yes, one of the conditions of bankruptcy is that sellable assets are liquidated to help pay off those debts before they're discharged.) They may state that he's still a ward of his parents or guardians, especially if he's still living with them. Thus, creditors could go after mom and dad along with the kid. And the court could add conditions about mom and dad to any bankruptcy proceedings for the kid.
Now, I'm not a lawyer, so this is not 100% accurate. These are just what's possible.
10:35 uhhh I have the family subscription for nintendo and I pay 35 euros for all the 8 users and that comes out to be 4.35 a year per user. Not 8 a month per user. Per month it would be .36 euros.
59:43 Linux explains exactly how he's a dad now (via his refusal to let anyone touch the thermostat).
The Apple Core Technology Fee is the Unity fee per "first" download on each device but worst.
I watch everything on 2x speed.
(Including the wan show)
The react portion was fun, I actually had to pay attention for once.
I wish youtube had a 4x speed button.
Apple clearly hates their developers and customers
Luke, regarding the teenage dumbass in the UK to Spain flight making that dumbass post, but the Spanish authorities were being diligent in launching the fighters. I could see the bomb being used as a bargaining chip to gain access to the cockpit of the plane. Once in the cockpit, a terrorist could use the plane as a weapon, like the four flights in 9/11. If that's the case, then you'd want the fighters to shoot down the plane before it could crash into a building. I don't see Spain's actions as overreacting, since they didn't know what they were dealing with.
And, yes, I know that knowing if there was a bomb on the plane, the flight crew should not let a terrorist into the cockpit, because they're dead either way. But panicked and scared people do make odd and often counter-intuitive decisions. Also, I'm well aware of what the wreckage of a commercial jet can do as it rains down on to a town, but the counter argument to that is by choosing when and where to shoot down a commercial jet, casualties can be minimized.
15:44 Linus is braindead. This WAN should prove it if anything.
It's like he's been dumbing down his arguments for edgy 14-year olds for years..
Re:
– You DON'T HAVE TO!!! Buy Android. Buy one of 20 amazing manufacturers, every one with their own app stores, the ability for other app stores, and sideloading allowed!
– Sideloading on iOS is not your god-given right, you were not lied to, you knew what you bought, with your own money, and your own brain!
– It amazes me how blind pople are to the lunacy of this argument, let me draw an analogy, btw I hate Apple and everything they stand for:
Imagine you bought a car, let's say Ford. Imagine now that you are outraged because you can only use Ford radio units in your Ford car. How dare they! They hold a complete monopoly on the Ford radio market! I want a Honda radio unit in my Ford car…..INSANITY!
Most cars have standardizes parts, like tires. Some cars don't and use their own closed formats, if this sucks to you, DO. NOT. BUY. THEM.
I was recently laid off and that sort of package is mandatory in Europe…I got an 8 month salary and on top of it I was entitled to 6 months of unemployment benefit…North America is third country hellhole pretending to be civilised
No actual quotes from him however he was the first leader of a country to introduce animal abuse laws…
So he was right about that. 7:16
installed QooApp on Android without any hustle (from the website, not through playstore)
Regarding Apple's new idea on "how do we technically comply with the EU regulations?", I wonder something. I know that law is very different in some countries, some having what I'll call "roman law" and other "anglosaxon law". In Belgian laws for example, there's something called "the spirit of the law", it's a concept meant to prevent what Apple's trying to do here. The idea is that whatever "technically" you do, if the "spirit of the law" is to allow something easier, you making it harder isnt compliant, because you don't comply with the "spirit of the law" and "what the regulator meant". Maybe that principle also exists in EU law? I dont know (and I'm not a lawyer)
The term is Eurocent, but we say "cent", like "50 cents" (like the rapper).
It's me or @linus is finding too much excuse for framework that he would never put for other laptop 😅
So you're binning CPU's to test with multiple GPUs? Great Idea! Not very hard to understand at all….Started with a testbed of 10 down to pick the 3? Most we've done is 6000 down to 100….but I wasn't using our ROG-esque "SP" score. Love technical videos…….why I started watching you 11 years ago!
10:47 that is a straight up lie. At worst, NSO costs USD4/€4 a month (half of what you said, and more in line with what Sony charges for PS+). Alternatively, not much more if you pay a year with the Expansion Pass add-on (like 50/12=4 and change). At best, with a family plan and 8 users, you pay USD4.5 A YEAR (USD35 to share among 8 users).
You have to pay, but the numbers Linus pulled up his ass tells that, at best, it's ignorant to the actual economics, and at worst, it's a slander because everyone should harass Nintendo. Had he just said that Nintendo charges for cloud saves would've been enough – you don't need to ruin your own point to give an extra slap.
Idgaf about alternate app stores, I just want full fat Firefox
Lets roll out big changes for privacy and security.
Anti-scammers need a big boost!!
I’m actually considering switching to Android at the moment. I believe their actions lead to bad product. 🤑
As a brown person who often wins the TSA lottery I make jokes like this often…. That is a shitty thing for a government to do.
the cleaning cloth is not free, it is 3000usd but comes with a vision pro.
Getting a lot of Unity vibes from Apple…
I was so ready for a iphone ds/gba emulator
On steam you can create keys that you can sell elsewhere and they charge you 0% for those sales. They take 30% only for sales on steam.
Do you understand humans have colorblindness? I don't fucking understand green bubble shit.
The point of the fighters was that if the person tried to use the threat of a bomb to hijack the plane, then the fighters could destoy the plane before it could reach somewhere it could do damage going down. Making the attempt futile and thus hopefully deterring the scenario.
Start of precision screwdriver spin: 1:22:22
End of spin: 1:23:31
Total spin time: 69 seconds!!
This is the first time I watched such a long live video
My take is the best way to go about upgradeable laptop GPUs is no dedicated gpu with an external gpu dock. It makes your laptop lighter, more portable. The laptop will draw less power, so you can charge from type-c. The gpu will be cheaper and more powerful. And you will have better cooling.
Hmm, the only laptop review that has ever been reposted on this channel with DVD commentary is one for a company that Linus has invested in…. I’m getting my pitchfork.
That you have to pay 100$ a year for the most shitty tooling as a developer was always insane.
7:28 One good thing about the person in question is that under him and due to his influence Germany was the first country to introduce animal rights. Y'know, "incinerating people and mass murder? Fiiine. But hurting animals is where I draw the line" kind of guy. He was also famously a vegetarian, if you ever need an argument against the stupid 'I'm a good person because I don't eat meat, and you're a monster because you do"
Autoban may have removed my previous comment due to referring that person by name (can't find and edit it) but like man, the context, the context is harmless.
About Elijah and the back flip, "you are not the boss of me".
Linis ain't CEO sooooooo Elijah, I say go for it.
