why would anyone even want a transparent screen either a tv laptop or PC monitor, the only thing I can think of is an expensive sign that uses something other than words or numbers so it can be seen from both sides even then it's very limited to it's use

I mean a slider baked into the software wouldn't be a bad idea a monochromatic display that can turn the back solid comes to mind
I see many implementation of this technology,from schools, to work pc's or maybe research institutes where transparency is needed
If the remedy to the privacy issue is to make the display less transparent, what's the point of having one then?
I know it's just a concept but it seems pointless to me.
