Amazing Products TV How Bad is This $10,000 PC from 10 Years Ago??

Comments

  1. Can you use the heating from your PC to make a barbecue bacon burger 🍔

  2. Why not just say no it protects you from damage. Preferably you would not reach the temperatures where it kicks in

  3. Nice

  4. The throttle point is set so the chip isn’t likely to fail running at it all day for years.

With normal use (no overclocks) you simply don’t need to worry about thermals.

  5. See the Wikipedia article about electromigration.
TL;DR: The current "washes" away the copper on nano-scale conductor tracks. High temps accelerate that and the thinner the track gets, the faster it gets – up to the point where the connection no longer works.
You need some really bad luck to break a critical track, but it can happen.

  6. PLEASE ANSWER: Why do some games completely freeze your computer instead of outputting an error message or an BSOD

  7. So is this basically overclocking ur cpu?

  8. What I'm hearing is that I should take off my cooler and fire up a game

  9. Don't trust this guy's advice – he doesn't even have a beard.

Source: I work in tech and don't have a beard.

  10. What about Ryzen 7000 serie? They claim that high temperature for this serie is by design and completely safe.

  11. So THAT'S why I can't run rocket league. You have to peel the sticker guys

  12. Wonder if it'd sort of last longer as the voltage will be reduced which will cause the silicon to degrade slower. All depends on if the thermal limits are set with some margin to where damage would occur.

  13. What is a good amount of screen time for different ages?

  14. My dads pc was hitting CPU temps of 100 degrees Celsius and I never thought I’d see temps so high on idling – turns out it was a broken CPU Cooler 😅

  15. And if you run it really cold with ln2 and dump top much voltage on, you can also seriously reduce the lifespan 😂

  16. This is an overcomplicated anwser that can lead to a missunderstanding: thermal throttling is like a car's rev limiter, it's there so you don't melt your crap but you shouldn't abuse it or you might just find out one day.

  17. My CPU went up at only 95°c.. With cooling of course.. I hadnt even finished a full lap on iRacing.. Intel i7-11900kf

  18. LMAO I guess this is how my friend's cpu stayed alive despite not having contact with it's cooler for 8 years😂

  19. Soo, thermal throtteling isn't bad, but what causes it is bad?

  20. What's your vision for future laptops crazy holographic screen, work partner or full on desktop replacement for anything and everything

  21. Thanks for the knowledge, now do the thug shake

  22. it's a bit like coughing when you're sick… the behavior is seen as undesirable, but it is actually an attempt to resolve a bigger problem — it's a symptom not a cause

  23. I was wondering, is it fine to use the same product key for many systems?

  24. How much performance gain do you actually get from AMD smart access memory.
