I've been lookin for something like the deej for many years since most TVs dont have dynamic audio compression. It could also serve as a headphone protection or resistor. I used to have a creative audigy 2 and the headphone was directly connected to it. One bootup, the headphone went boom while I was wearing it and got tinnitus for a week. It would have been a pop (like connecting a guitar to the speaker when it's already on) but the headphone was too sensitive. From that day, i stuck with headphone outputs or seperate dacs and amps.

Luckily, for some phone and tablet owners, you can just enable battery protect and limit the full capacity to 85%. So leaving them plugged in isn't an issue.
When sponsors reach out, it would be cool if they at least had the option to ship to Canada at all, even if it's expensive. For a Canadian company that shouldn't be that huge a request.
Very cool! I love these videos. The Charge-O-Matic isn't cool in the strict sense, 'cause it's got mechanical components and you can't play Doom on it. But it's really cool in a functional sense, because it performs a useful service. I wonder how much money a person could save on batteries (and, y'know, cellphones) if they used it to always charge below below 100%. Like over five years or something, it would probably add up.
I really enjoyed having the sponsor section one ‘bit’ deeper into the video. For me at least, it made it easier to stay attentive and engaged, without that instant neck breaking non-sequitur from the intro.

I actualy dont understand why people buy caned air. Do so many people not have a compressor?
It would be simpler to have a USB device that only has the power pins connected, so when you plug in your device to it and then to the suspect USB source, you only get power. So then it doesn't matter what kind of data the device wants to send you, as those wires aren't connected.

Built a Deej in 2021. Took an hour or so. Use it all the time to this day. Glad to see the creator is getting the recognition he deserves. There are plenty of designs on thingiverse and their discord server is pretty helpful too.
