Our testing process was fairly simple but effective. We used the exact same brand of flashlight (Maglite Xenon) all straight from the box. Each pair of batteries tested came from different stores around the Portland, OR area. Set 1 came from Fred Meyer, set 2 from Target and set 3 from Safeway. We did this to make sure we used different shipments and manufacturing dates from the battery companies.
While the procedure was not necessarily scientific, it gives you an indication of what you might expect when purchasing not only batteries, but any product on the market today. It’s always good to do your own research and make purchases based on what you find to work over a long period of time.
The oddest result was with the Energizer 9x Ultimate. It did not perform as expected. After some research we found that this particular battery is mainly intended to be used in high-draw electronics such as digital cameras. However, the marketing on the box says it is GREAT for flashlights. Go figure…

Thanks for watching!
It seems that when it comes to light Duracell has advantage over Energizer, while if we are using something with a motir like a fan it's the opposite with Energizer Advanced ahead of everything else.
Love it
my last batteries lasted over 10 years, 6 hours is not good enough. I thought this video was about longest lasting batteries? Very missleading , I wonder are those batteries in this video as good as GP industrial LR6 15 amp batteries.
It is called energizer litheum.
I do not trust Duracell, they leak frequently. My choice is Panasonic
When you factor in battery leakage and destruction of your devices duracell will come in dead last. I use nothing but Energizer in my work flashlights. I have to know that they're going to work and they're not going to destroy my flashlights. Duracell is fucking garbage
'
better use 1 LED flashlight…
not use a normal lightbulb in flashlight
'
how about rite aid batterys / harbor freight batterys / china batterys / germany batterys…
only alkaline batterys with AA / AAA / C / D
2019???
2019
<_< >_> I'm shocked!
Energizer is one of the best and costs 40 pesos of one energizer battery and costs 300 pesos at one pack
And not to say your finding are incorrect whatsoever I truly enjoyed the video.
I find these types of videos educational but I kinda get confused as to which battery is actually better. As I’ve watched countless ones using different testing objects I noticed that the results are so drastically different. Here I’d shows Duracell blowing the others away but the other videos show the energizer lithium blowing even the Duracell away.
redo this with rechargeable batteries
"which is pretty much weak sauce"
well only way to properly test it is use the same device to test all batteries.. otherwise we wouldn't know if it was the battery or the device causing the drain level on the battery
Sunbeam from Dollar Tree are HIGHLY under rated…
Wow! This tells me absolutely nothing about which batteries I want to use in my flashlight
I agree for the energizer, i use an xbox 360 controller and jesus christ the energizer batteries barely lasted through one session of game time, its fkin shit
…….ok now I know witch is the best
Duracell They dont have in asian
I reckon the batteries life span vary on device. For example i use them for my travel Norelco i use on clients when i don't feel like shaving or using my Andis profoil and the Norelco runs great on Both Quantums and Energizer Premiums, hella clean lol
Yeah Duracell may be great for flashlights but what about another common thing such as electric toothbrushes?
Bullfucking shit this tester is as trash as the dead batteries he tested. Energizer ultimate lithium ultimate lithium has the most powerful hands down, it's not even a question. They are extremely expensive though but this dumbass must have no been able to afford those for use in his hand me down flashlights of varying power draw and huge defects between the same lights, defects as large as the ones that riddle his mental capacity leaving a disabled shell of a human to make these trash vids.
Doing this for science fair 2018!?
