  1. Don’t be like me and accidentally buy light strips that look purple instead of white. These are much better: https://amzn.to/3C2TTVl (affiliate link) and I put more links in the description.

  2. Can I just use USB power led strips and power them with thoese power banks that have an on and off switch if I don't want to wire anything??

  3. Would that Zigbee controller allow for smooth dimming across a wide range of brightnesses? Would there be any way to attach a physical dimmer of some kind? I'm looking for something to control a single 1w LED in a Microscope because I blew up the control board it came with and the manufacturer doesn't sell parts…

  4. i mean, ugh, is that even possible?! jeez dude, cmon.

  5. Hai! Do these work with the hub from ikea smart home?

  6. Do you need the ZigBee hub? Or can i just use my Alexa?? thanks.

  7. easy solution to the screwdriver problem: most single sided bits (not the double sided ones you showed trying to use by hand) fit into a 1/4" socket. pair with a ratchet and tadaaa, 90° screwdriver for tight spaces. great idea for the undercabinet lighting ^.^

  8. BTF is the best I have found for led strips. I like the newer leds that don’t have a wire for rgb just one wire to assign the colors. The individually addressable is what I am talking about

  9. does that white control box work with Philips Hue bridge?

  10. Your bathroom is bigger then my kitchen & dining room together! lmao

  11. How do you connect the gateway to Alexa? Is there a zigbee gateway needed, or is there another option?

  12. LED channels also act as a heat sync which can greatly extend the life and color quality over time. And yeah they help bend all the leds together. My other favorite leds are the Cobb led strips that look like one continuous light. They used to only come in single colors. White warm white and red, green, blue. Now they have a rgb one. They’re the only led strip that has that continuous look without using a cover. They’re also super thin, super bright, and have a high CRI. They don’t do individually addressable strips but you wouldn’t anyway. Their strips look continuous because their leds are so small and close together. And they’re pretty inexpensive now compared to a few years ago. Go for the 24v ones and get a good quality flat led driver.

  13. Great video! The procedure is identical to that described above.

  14. how do you integrate the motion sensor to the LED strips ?

how did you make them work with motion sensorÉ

  15. Have you ever done a stairs install with led under the lip of the steps with motion sensor.i don't no much about led but wanting g to redo my stairs and wanted led light up do you have a video on that.

  16. Lol "spouse approval rating" 🤣… I love it! Funny! Good video too. Thanks!

  17. You need a right angle drill attachment

  18. How do you connect strip controller to your phone? Philips Hue app? Do you use a bridge?

  19. I saw that you added 2 sets of light to the Zigbee controller. Do you think it can handle a 3rd set of lights? If not possible could you recommend something that can handle a third?

  20. this is a great video, I'm doing this outside!

  21. Hi ! Dewalt has angle screwdriver bits that can be used with an impact screwdriver.
Could be useful for under tight space cabinet mounting

  22. You want to go down a fun rabbit hole of LED lights look into WLED controllers and LED strips. I spent hours looking at all kinds of info for permanent holiday house lights using LEDS
