  2. the pen is really nice. I got mine a while ago.

  3. Linus Kid Tips channel when

  4. Guys we know you don't want steal screen time from other videos, you really don't have to mention it every single time. Frankly I'm not going to watch any other video you guys mention on the show, John Hammond was an exception because I am a sub to him but I'm really not going to watch any video you guys fear stealing watch time from.

  5. The Quality Store – Only quality items

  6. I work at ESET, the largest cybersecurity provider in the EU, at the Dutch office, and we're currently receiving training on every aspect of cybersecurity. We believe in a "clean drinking water" policy for the internet: you should be able to use it without worrying about whether it's safe to consume. The reality, however, is that the internet is held together by a patchwork of old technologies, many of which are over 30 years old, and security was never a consideration in their design.

Cybercrime is a unique type of crime in that it requires very little from the attacker's side. You no longer need to physically approach a person to harm them; you can do it "safely" from your own home. With tools like ChatGPT, it's frighteningly easy to generate phishing emails in no time, send them to thousands of addresses, and the odds of someone taking the bait are quite high.

There are now solutions that allow ISPs to filter the internet at the source, which we call NetProtect. This means the ISP can ensure that a significant amount of malicious content never even reaches the end user—a sort of "clean drinking water" approach for the digital world. In short, cybersecurity keeps our digital lives running smoothly, and we can't afford to take shortcuts.

My advice would be to develop a plan identifying where you (LTT) see the pain points, such as the potential for social accounts being taken offline, data loss, reputational damage, and business continuity. These are, in my view, your primary concerns. Ideally, you should consider deploying an MDR (Managed Detection and Response) service that monitors your environment 24/7. While this might sound excessive, such a team (which can be hired externally) can often detect attacks in their early stages—such as unauthorized login attempts from unusual locations or times. They can also implement DLP (Data Loss Prevention) measures to ensure that files aren't being copied to external locations internally, or passwords shared via WhatsApp for convenience, for example.

In short, cybersecurity affects us all, and your transparency is the best approach. People can learn from this; sweeping it under the rug has never helped anyone. Thank you, and good luck!

  7. disney is SCUM. this pales in comparison, but after failing to make a disney+ payment, both the app and the website become completely LOCKED, and you can no longer even unsubscribe, forcing my debit account to be continually overdrawn until I pay so I can unlock my account…

  8. Hold on, hold on. "Got phish?" on the shirt? Pay royalties to swiftonsecurity.

  9. Linus Tech Tips could definitely benefit from a kids channel talking about technology. I am sure many young kids are familiar with technology at an even earlier age nowadays. I am also sure many people here have kids and would defenitely have their children watch something educational and entertaining from LTT

  10. 100 USD for a laptop bag that's actually good is not even that bad

  11. looking at the domain name of the email sender doesn't help you.
you can spoof that, or even just register the domain but with weird utf8 characters that look the same.
it should probably still be there but it can give a false sense of security

  12. Why does luke have penis written on his arm?

  13. I actually think rotary chicken is a huge profit saver for the most part. Not a los leader.
Rotary chicken can be made of chicken thats on its final day of use and that way get a prolonged shell life. And by that way still get sold instead of trashed. And a total lost. Then you have the benefit like smell transmitted thrue the store. And yeah you have to heat it but is that really more expensive than cooling it? I youst dont know and you cant ask the store because they wont admit to be recycling "old" food. And choose the we are taking a loss on this for you comment every time.

  14. 1:12:08 bro said the thing!

  15. Luke, remember sound reducing drywall when you do your room. Thank me later

  16. Luke: I brought an old Android 12 phone to a hacker conference

Me, watching on Android 11 phone: That's not old is it?

  17. Resume @25:30

  18. The point of phishing LTT's account on twitter is to post a "sweepstakes" and get more phishing victims form people filling out sweepstakes form.
You can then ransom the account access for a payment.

  19. Man, stop bullying luke. It’s not cool to insinuate eating peoples pets as a joke. He even tried to set a boundry and both of linus and dan straight ignored it.

  20. As regards your comment about AMD laptops not having SODIMM, see the Lenovo T14S Gen4 and Gen5, using the 7000- and 8000-series respectively.

  21. Linus's voice is slowly turning into Steve Carell's. I bet he could do a real crazy good impression he tried.

  22. You don't ask them for the no/xtn to call on because they could BS about their unit having a direct dial on another number. Ask for full name and department to request when you call back via main switch for the business that you look up independently on the web (or from your known to be official correspondence on record, e.g. other letters you've received or perhaps on back of your relevant bank card.
