It can be hard to decide how much to spend on a computer or gaming setup, so today we try out computers at four VERY different price points to see what the experience is like, and maybe help you decide how much you’d want to spend. $50?… $500? $5,000? $50,000?

Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
I have cheap gen 2 i7 and it runs cs2 and valorant fine for me.
21:15 I like how you can HEAR the CPU working on Minecraft chunks as the fan kicks into high gear
whhrrrrrrrrrrrr [max out render distance, moves character a few chunks] WHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
512 GB for gaming is obviously silly, but at work I'd regularly crash small clusters of servers with "only" 256 GB with some phat calculations, 512 or even 1024 would have been great
ideally I would have gotten permission to code up or get better software that uses 10x less ram, but sometimes it's cheaper to throw money at a bad solution than spend even more money on a good one
Wait, the “5000$” one showed up as 3700 on your list? And I have almost the exact setup I built for 3300 and i have more fans and only difference is a ryzen 7 7800 instead of the i9. Unless you’re including all the peripherals which I suppose you would. Must be one hell of a monitor 😅. My end setup was 4600 and it’s almost exactly the same with a 1000$ LG ultra gear and fancy overpriced keyboard/mouse.
I'm fairly certain that my modem is nearly as powerful as the laptop.
this is the kind of system that would be needed to train the flux music model lol
The 5k computer loaded that haiku in 16 FRAMES, That's nuts!
Peripherals are pretty significant and I don't think they were factored in to the 500 vs 50
16:38 'it's a Server'
Wait Linus doesn't know about Ctrl+Shift+Esc?
The power bill after this video must have been insane 😂
although it doesn't game (comparative by price), i REALLY appreciate watching that big boy just rip through those renders XD
Dude, not fair at all. Being super snobby toward the $50 computer. Imagine you're 8 years old wanting to play minecraft with your friends. You can save allowance or do like a month worth of chores and get this much. You can't be easily playing on the surface, but half of my minecraft experience is underground anyway, and its way better performance down there. Even up top, 20fps is playable for someone who doesn't know better. Also, FTL, Runescape, breach…this is amazing for the right person without unrealistic expectations. I LOVED playing WoW as a little kid on the family computer at 5fps with friends
minecraft is pretty much a single core game, and uses basically 0 gpu so its not a great test for things like this until they go into the shader testing.
the work station sounds like a mf drone
if i cant multi task i pass
LOL @ MrBeast thumbnail, that was clever
Are you guys able to make a video explaining the AMD comparisons of their intel counterpart and their value?

That first PC is the one they have for the frame machine at my work and it never works since they updated to windows 11. Always 100% usage but hey don't listen to me.
i once tried to run ocarina of time pc port on one of those shitty school laptops and i had to cap the framerate to 30 lmao
