Whatever you want to call the screenshot app thing. The vast majority of his audience was insulted and disgusted when they saw it. And that's what really matters. It was a complete sell out and he was actively aware that the vast majority of his audience didn't need or want an app like that.

I do think that the actual bad part about the wallpaper app is that it made him look a lot less competent at what he does than his public image would imply and while many people had this view beforehand what is particularly bad this time is that it did so with his main audience.

I really don't think the CA law change for buying vs licensing/renting games or software is gonna help, and might actually hurt chances for real reform and legal teeth on the issue. All this really does is make the status quo more obvious and might make lawmakers think the issue is solved now, and it might actively make things worse because now corporations can say "see we're being honest about how you don't own your software, so you can't complain that you have no rights". What we need is to entrench and restore out rights as consumers, not give credence to the idea that those rights and that ownership doesn't exist.

Make the scam shirt exactly like the others just with a very unpractically large tag inside – like half a meter long or so.
So if you want to keep your scam shirt different from the shirt for poor people, you have to live with the inconvenience.

On the note of schools taking things away —
There was one time where I had a "How to draw Pokemon" book taken away from me back in Fourth Grade (about 2010-ish), I think because I had it open during non-designated reading time.
I didn't get it back until the end of the school year. And I think it was taken away during either the winter or the fall, so it was MONTHS before I got it back.
The numbers of YT ads are taking the enjoyment away from the coversation. Seems every 10 mins theres an ad 🤮 will find a way to auto download and watch ad free through plex.
