There's also the option of buying someone's old or broken kit cheap and taking the key. Not the easiest to find, but if it pops up, why not take it.

I made my own stripped "light" windows installer iso (FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY) and part of that iso is that it automatically puts a text document onto the users desktop and the user can paste in the commands to activate the version of windows, this way i dont have to run shady scripts from the internet and its only 3 commands
