Nvidia’s follow-up to the RTX 4080 Super is finally here! But does the new Blackwell Architecture impress? The 5090 wasn’t the best thing on the planet. But hey, so long as we’re still waiting for AMD’s 9070 XT and Intel to have any competition in the high end… well i guess this is what we get.

  1. Correction:
10:55 – NVIDIA has let us know that the RTX 5080 does have a double flow through cooler, similar to the RTX 5090, but the Liquid Metal TIM is replaced with phase change TIM, and the 3D Vapor Chamber is replaced with five heat pipes.

  2. My question is, how is nvidia going to keep selling GPUs to people who need raw GPU cores performance? Are they just going to let AMD take that market share? So if nvidia continues this way, 5 generations ahead and we will be at +50% raw performance from the 5000series- because frame gen and AI boosting is taking care of the other 300%?

  3. If AMD marketing dont come out with "True 70's class card" they missed the boat and fire them!!

  4. I bought a 4080 2 days ago. because I don't personally own a diamond mine and a less than 15% increase doesn't seem that ravishingly awesome.

  5. I'll stick with my 3060. Don't need a graphics card if my old one plays the games I like

  6. I DONT KNOW MAN, THESE NEW VIDEO FORMAT WHERE DIFFERENT PEOPLE ARE TALKING, MAKES ME KINDA LOSE INTEREST

  7. Sorry, but sound is way too low. Even at max it's not enough

  8. I'm scared of the way things are developing, seems like some sort of "no more REAL frames generarated" and more of "DLSS and such will become mandatory because its cheaper" resulting in games demanding exclusive GPU with DLSS or you won't even be able to run the damn thing

  9. I dont get the its like going from Bridge of Terabithia to Dead Poets. I have no idea what that means.

  10. My butt hurts

  11. What happened to the… other techier guy? A big card needs big announcements! 🙂

  12. So happy I bought my 4080 Super last year, skipping all this 'hype'.

  13. what the hell is this cursed thumbnail and where did linus's hand go?? 😂😂

  14. 4080 not looking so bad now is it.

  15. looking to replace my 4070 super for the 5070 TI

  16. i think its question of time and drivers, when with new updates old cards would be decresed their productivity, and new ones got soft fixes and better optimisation

  17. I'm waiting for the proof of 4090 performance in 5070

  18. 50 series reviews have been awesome. So much more than here is a chart, and another chart, and another chart….

Tricking people to learn awesome stuff whilst also finding out about the card.

  19. The RTX 5080 is Actually an RTX 5070
    Hardware Unboxed

  20. Wait… Wukong doesn't run at 60fps without DLSS on the 4070Ti or 4070Ti SUPER? Game developers should really start optimizing their games again… I'm sick of this BS trend.

  21. Disappointed.

  22. I feel these days developers are spending more time making unneeded side quests and large sandboxes to increase hrs in game to sell then after 2 months games dies and they take your money, so they don't care about the performance its just push out junk and users buy, we are at fault as much as devs. if we hold back a bit more and show are feeling as a group we can make a difference i believe

  23. The amazing cooler that pulls out those watts. Meanwhile the R9 Nano cooling a Fiji chip 10 years ago with a single fan and dual slot design…

  24. Scummiest part is the intentionally low vram capacity on anything else than the 5090.
Even though the architecture is good enough for like 5 years you know you'll have to upgrade because of the small memory buffer.
The 5080 would of been so much better with 24GB ram.

  25. will wait for the 1080

  26. Ok I need help/opinions
Should I get a 4070 ti super, 4080 super or get a 50 series card? Gonna pair it with a ryzen 7 7800x3d, I’m mainly gonna be playing 1440p but may want to play some cinematic 4k shi sometimes 🥹

  27. My favorite generation still remains the 10-series: They were affordable, big upgrades…and were way more power efficient. They also had nice blower-style Founder's Edition that worked great for putting multi-cards in a single system (something I did for GPU-based rendering). That the power efficiency, upgrade gains, affordability, and multi-card systems have ALL been basically destroyed…leaves me with hardly anything positive to say about the company I used to love since their "TNT" eras cards. I bought a used 3080 blower-style card last year on the used market, which is likely the last series that will ever "be allowed" to use them…and it might be my last Nvidia card for a long while. I will likely never buy a "new" Nvidia GPU again, as they shot up in price so absurdly that I will never be able to justify it…especially for the minor gains we are seeing in 'regular' usage scenarios.

  28. LISA SU NEEDS TO SAVE THE GAMERS

  29. thanks nvidia for not giving me a reason to give you 1k+$ 🙂

  30. Whataver happened to markbench?

  31. im so glad i managed to get an MSI 7900XTX the thing might be a brick but it smashes games for $1000 less than the new cards….

  32. To be honest I do not care about RTX still shit.

  33. Obviously the A team is working on Ai

  34. I'm on the fence, because I am a systems programmer in the oil industry, specifically MPD simulation software, but I am not a computer hardware architect. Something tells me the engineers at nVidia know something we don't regarding hardware limitations, and with the observation that Moore's law is slowing down to a crawl… I think nVidia is putting their chips on the table on other options for rendering that they see as the future of 3D rendering. It isn't as simple as slapping more transistors on a PCB anymore. The hardware capability will always precede the software, so as it stands, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I truly hope nVidia isn't s******g the bed with their goals here, cause we need continuous competition in the market. But as it stands *right now*, this generation looks like crap.

  35. Definately skip the 5080/90. 5070 probably ok. What a dissapointment

  36. How can I explain this more simply? Have any of you seen the prices of a 4080 Super? It's more expensive than a used 5080, even for around $1000. So, what's the point of avoiding the 5080? It's slightly better for less money.

  37. Whatd be a great 1200 battle of the beater build day trading sleeper pc look and perform like?

  38. 7:44 This will trigger some people. LMAO

10:40 Need to include more ESport title tbh. at least 2 for each genre.

  39. Definitely Trumps fault. By increase chip import tariffs by 100% directly causing prices to skyrocket. In order for everyday common people to afford an actual GPU, we need to queue up for days. 100% blaming trump on this.

  40. Is Nvidia handling the criticism better than you are?

  41. I don't care how bad or good the 5080 is. After currency conversion, it costs 1450 USD in my country. I'd rather just go to intel cards. 😢

  42. Shoutout to Dennis' haircut, looks great

  43. modern hardware has reached real high level of compute power, yet they cant run recent games in native 4k at high frames and thats simply because of the poor optimization of these games
    .
no, let me be more frank. its because these games are incredibly inefficient and poorly developed pile of garbage where developers rely on hardware power to hide their short comings

  44. We are moving from computers that compute, to computers that estimate (using AI). Future will show if this is correct path

  45. So… do I upgrade from my 3080 to anything?

  46. nice star wars bit

  47. Have a 7800x3d. Buy a 7900xtx. End of.

  48. TDS 🫵🏼

  49. I wish these benchmarks had better differentiation between numbers, manufacturers, and nomenclature. At this time, with almost all of the videos I've seen recently these benchmarks and charts are so insanely difficult to catch the details of at a cursory glance. I had no idea there were even AMD cards on some of these because RX and RTX are the same font, style, type, and color.

Why is the entire y-axis right side aligned? Why is the font so indistinguishable and non-user friendly? Why are the colors so monotoned and indistinguishable?
It is hard to read, it is hard to see, and the way you guys speak so quickly and move forward is hard to differentiate between slides or new information.
