Comments

  1. 12:00 timestamp for me to come back to

  2. Can I ask why not using a gen5 pcie motherboard for the rtx 5080?

  3. Meine Damen und Herren๐Ÿ—ฃ

  4. 10% fasters than 4080 super is not exciting lol

  5. If I never had a pc do over a 4080 super or 5080 super

  6. Would you wait and buy a RTX 5090 (if you ever can get one) or buy a second hand MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X 24GB for 2000 euro's with still 1 year of warranty? Any advice? What to look for when buying second hand… I think it will be impossible to get a rtx 5090 anytime soon… Nvidia really did a paper launch!

  7. I've been watching 5080 vids all day because I ordered a 5080 + 9800x3d .. I know it isn't the upgrade that people wished for. But for me it's an upgrade from my laptop's mobile 4060 .. so yeah, it's an insanely big upgrade.
EDIT: I can't wait to play cyberpunk with 200+ frames on my 4k 240hz screen lol

  8. I'm upgrading my GTX 8gb 1070 system this year. This looks a great card to upgrade to, but I've not discounted using the 5070ti or the 9070XT, though I have discounted the 7900XTX since this card came out.

  9. Terrible year over year improvements

  10. they need to rename the Founders Edition to – Influencers Edition

  11. My AMD 6800 for ยฃ340, runs cyberpunk at 75-85fps 4k high settings!! Was expecting more rasterisation oerformance tbf

  12. I will stick to my 4070ti super that card is dead in the water

  13. Is A 750 watt power supply enough for ryzen 7 9800 3dx 5080?

  14. Moral of the story: Anyone with a 30 series card would benefit from a 50 series. Anyone with a 40 series should wait.

  15. Who knows the 5070 could be equal to the 4080 super not the 4090.

  16. Question is Can it handle GTA6

  17. So I know the 4080 and now the 5080 are poor value to performance but my question is for someone like me who don't care about using my pc for all the extra content creation, rendering etc just gaming at 4k mostly fps games like COD, is the 5080 or even if prices drop the 4080 something that will give really good frame rates at 4k with RT on?

  18. I play mostly FPS games on PC, So Ray tracing is not a main issue for me. IF i wanna play any story game, I use my ps5 LOL

  19. I got 4070 ti super I mainly play esports Iโ€™m happy with my card

  20. I just finished building my first PC I have my friends old 1060 for the meantime I was thinking of getting a 5070 ti for my first card but now Iโ€™m leaning towards a 5080

  21. Fortnite competitive settings is everything on low and de rendering mode on 'performance mode'. Not dx12 everything on high and fortnite is very cpu dependant.

  22. I still ๐Ÿ‘ the video as always but i found it odd that the first build and video of the 5080 you did a budget build while the 5090 went all out, i do hope to see a full no hold back performance soon tho ๐Ÿ™

  23. I feel like the 4090 was a good investment.

  24. How much Nvidia paid you for this commercial?

  25. I was one of the few lucky ones to get a 9800x3d at retail price day one and I upgraded my old 9th gen intel platform alongside it. Was really hoping the 5080 was going to perform better than this as it's what I planned to replace my 3080ti with but now I'm really in two minds if it's worth it. Maybe waiting to see what a 5080 TI/Super is like? Ah first world problems.

  26. Give it some time, perhaps they do some updates in drivers and games are more optimized for 5000 series I buy it anyway.

  27. Should I get a pc with a ryzen 5 7600 rtx 4060 or i5 13400f 4060?

  28. But the 5080 with dlss4 causes 3-4x more latency which is bad. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Itโ€™s fake frames!

  29. I've watched several 5080 reviews now and the takeaway from all of them is there is very little positive to say about it

  30. Most exciting graphics card? Brother come on now.

  31. 5080, this video won't age well

  32. Why's the motherboard is b650 eagle ax?

  33. This card is going to be $2000+ NZD…. i was really hoping to upgrade my 3060 ti with one of these but I don't think it'll be worth while.

  34. Coming from a 2070 super, I need it!!๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  35. Nvidia scammers

  36. This nerd is so clearly bought and paid for its beyond cringe

  37. I think this is the start of diminishing returns. I feel that we are only going to get slight improvements each gen from here on out.

  38. You know you FVCKED up hard when even PC centric is shit talking it a bit lol. He's the most jolly nice postitive guy ever.

  39. What you can have today (counted) for the price of 5080:
    – PS5 console from Sony
    – 70 Inch TV from LG
    – HP laptop with the latest I5
    – high-end headphones from Edifier
    – good speakers from the same
And you'll have money left for a beer.

The idea of โ€‹โ€‹paying Nvidia for one processor with RAM and radiator, with the speed of a 2-year-old card, the equivalent of equipping your home and office with electronics is so absurd that it's hard to call it.
Absolutely NOTHING but a monopoly justifies these msrp. This is not only harmful, but also immoral. This is a rip-off. But, to quote the classic, pride comes before a fall. And if Nvidia stumbles, it will fall with a big bang.

  40. I think the issue here is that we're starting to hit rasterization limits – we'll know when AMD comes out with the 9070 (they've always leaned on raster pretty hard to make up for their feature set being… well sh*t) – and realistically based on node process density, we're likely already past peak generational increases, and so now we have to kind of get used to smaller generational gains… at the same prices. That's going to be a pill that's hard for some to swallow, but realistically to expect cards to start getting cheaper just cause the performance gains aren't as high as they used to be? Eh, it doesn't really work, at least if you know, you like profits.

The years of upgrading your video card every generation are likely behind us. This gen is about filling out the product stack for those with 30 series and older cards and to get MFG into the wild.
