Comments

  1. I just build my cheap pc for 200/210 euro. I got a i5-8500, 400w psu(new), 8gb ddr4, 256 gb nvme and a gtx 1660. i think i'm gonna add another 8 gb of ram and i'll add more storage like a 1tb hdd or ssd. I had to make some "modification" with a 7 pin on the motherboard cause' it was a hp pc desktop so i had to upgrade the psu to fit the gpu in. How do u rate it for 200 euro?

  2. I like the excessive use of classical music

  3. So just like mainstream tv we are getting reruns now?

  4. it is why uploading older ones again

  5. OG

  6. make it shorter ,

  7. Why does Luke look like he came from 2014?

  8. Wow you can realy tell how the production vallue went up verry much!

  9. The old shows were very soulful. Linus and Luke were not yet so popular and the Craigzlist could find good computers at an attractive price.

  10. More of this please

  11. (1:39 / 1:40 freeze frame) Is that one of the old paper $20 bills?? Why does it looks so different, I can’t remember what the old bills looked yet

  12. Watching this now, and comparing it to pc’s now is just insane to me.

  13. 33:49 FNaF song

  14. I was promised a dingo!

  15. Imagine doing something like this today!

  16. gtx 580 power hungry XDDDD

  17. IS he wearing the youtube bag?

  18. 33:26 fredrick fazbearington special edition zip ties 🔥🔥🔥

  19. Expectations were so low back then. I think the expectations of gamers as a whole for what constitutes a decent system have really exploded over the years. Even when this came out, a Core 2 CPU was pretty ancient, especially considering the pace of innovation back then. The 5960X had come out in 2014 and 6th gen would come out later in 2015. 980/Titan X came out in 2015 too. A 580 would have been pretty long in the teeth, about the equivalent of getting a 10 series card today in terms of number of generations. And the performance uplift between 5 series and 9 series was huge.

  20. I remembered this series as the one where luke gets a 290 for cheap af..

  21. Its surreal to see all this again all these years later. The bit in the beginning where he's filing "to get better footage then just pointing a camera at me in the car" then the "that seems unnesecary". How many unused Red cameras are sitting around LTT now? This was an awesome blast from the past. Thank you for the re-upload it was a very nice night watching this.

  22. Every time I see older videos I just think of the clowns who complain about how LTT is too much “for entertainment” now

  23. Kinda blows my mind that thats all either of you could get for $300 i dont remember the psu or mobo but for $220 on market place i was able to get a pc with
    GPU: Radeon Rx580
    CPU: Intel i5-7500
Storage: 2 HDD both are 1TB and a 500GB SSD
    Ram: 16GB DDR4
    OS: Windows 10
    Case: Gamdias

  24. I love this. Like a computer scavenger hunt. Now you know how us mortals buy our used parts. Lol

  25. Holy crap! The bank gave you an old $20… been a while

  26. How come you are rehashing old videos, can't you think of new content?

  27. What's with Luke's arm band thing? Stylistic choice?

  28. I didn't mean to use the bloody time machine…

  29. Makes me thankful for how easy it is to build a used pc nowadays.

  30. Nostalgic

  31. 2010 youtube?

  32. 27:38 huh… I didn't know TFL suddenly became a tech channel…

  33. 50% of the time, it works every time.

  34. linus i have a stack of 7950's 3 all flashed to 7970 bios. with the 3way crossfire ribbon.

  35. Guessing Luke had the mouse arm "tennis elbow" or tendonitis. The struggle is real, but I was a little past 40 when I first got it. I bet Luke's a bit more sweaty than me with gaming though. Bummer you got it early. I'm about 3 years past my initial onset, and my right arm hasn't been right since. I think it's always lurking. Hope you don't get carpal tunnel too. Controllers sometimes make my hands numb. Being old sucks. 😂

  36. I don't typically but I don't like the editor's additions in this one. Typically I love them but I'm not a fan of this Editor's style

  37. pls bring back the use of classical music

  38. Low production costs. Didn't even have enough for a second phone for the script for Luke.

  39. I love how variable the hardware was then. It makes for much more interesting outcomes.

  40. I remember when this first came out all those years ago. Your production quality has gone way up since then, but NOTHING will ever match the vibes of the original Scrapyard Wars!

  41. When was this ?

  42. This video is so old im starting to remember al the good times from back then

  43. The funny thing is, all of this hardware is so old, I have no idea how it compares, so there is a lot of suspense.

  44. 5:40 He sounds so high pitched in this 😭
