  12. With my first computer, I found out over time that it's graphics card wasn't even compatible. And it was pre built. Fortunately, it worked better for another old machine we had.

  22. Um… huh? There is no way you fit a Molex power connector (no, not even the small one for the 3.5" floppy) into the CDDA connector on your CD-ROM drive. Or the auxiliary audio inputs on your sound card. The jacket is smaller, and even on connectors without jackets… the pin pitch is different.

  24. I made a similar mistake on my first ever PC build, I was an excited teenager ready to build their first PC, seen a female fan connector on my powersupply, seen a male fan connector on my motherboard

    not long later, POP, yea not the brightest idea, but we have to do dumb shit once in order to learn its dumb

    the PC worked still, but I am fairly sure it did mess up the motherboard in some way, that fan header died right then and there but that board also killed 2 NVME SSDs

  34. I remember the little white audio connector for CD-ROM drives. I never fully understood them. Sometimes CD audio would work without it & sometimes it wouldn't. So I always made sure it was connected. I never tried putting.

    I mean come on guys, surely Linus Media Group doesn't need the extra hundred dollars from a short-ad. At this point it's getting kind of exhausting seeing an ad or paid sponsorship (some videos even have two) with every video from Linus. Surely you guys can do better than this…
