  1. Sell your old graphics cards, or buy used ones, from a reliable source thanks to Jawa. Check them out at https://jawa.link/LTTMar

  2. This is why whenever I go online shopping when it comes to anything that ships I never use my card and instead only use cash.
And thus, the fake transaction scams sould be less affective I think.

  3. i lost 600 dollar on mine getting diff graphics card.. Amazon india customer service is the worst.

  4. As someone who used to work in the shipping industry and then at Amazon’s third party fraud department, I can confirm this is not even the tip of the iceberg. Things are quite hectic when high profile items come out to market. Back in 2015 it was all about hoverboards and then then the iPhone X came out we were having a really bad time with lots of scammers in the platform. Some attempts were really elaborated…I even stumbled with a dude selling human souls and imaginary friends xD

  5. One time I made the mistake of buying from a third party seller on Newegg. What I received instead of two items was two pieces of paper inside two bubble envelopes. So Newegg sees that the tracking number was delivered to my address, but I didn't get what I paid for. I made a dispute and Newegg thankfully refunded. But if they hadn't, I could also fall back on paypal or credit card disputes I suppose. That was the last thing I bought from Newegg. If they can't keep tabs on their third party sellers, I'm out.

  6. some people deserve to be scammed. This is so dumb

  7. indian Consumer court wants to know scammers location

  8. I made this nearly the exact same video a month ago…..I even said nearly the exact same thing at the end about how to spot the scammers… The amount of mixed comments I got though blew my mind but the amount of people who reached out to me who were scammed was the most shocking. Many of the people who reached out had a very hard time getting a refund and I had to help them contact ebay and guide them how to work around some of the roadblocks they got when trying. Ebay has fallen off so hard when it comes to allowing scams and not doing anything about it. I tried reporting so many of the listings to ebay and they never took any of them down. One scammer I shared on reddit a few months back was scamming with steam decks this way and he sold nearly 100 units in 2 days all were 100% fake listings where they used fake tracking numbers. This is a massive scam thats been going on for months with gpus and other items. Its very important to know what to look for with ebay sellers and how to spot the scammers.
After watching this whole video, I am pretty sure some one internally who helped made this video probably took some inspiration from my original video…

  9. this is a story like me but the stupidly use PayPal and my debit card and charged me round about £900

I was angry and cross so I called up PayPal

they did some tracking and they told me that they just my card not the accountant but then I asked them very carefully "if you was spending £900 would you be using your account?" YES so I asked her what address did it will send it to he said she's not allowed to say so Q2 so that means if I was spending $900 and I did not know where I sent it to, what does that tell you? ….. she just said it looks like you got scammed, she went through a couple of security checks saying what address did it sent to just a clarifier I'm not going to doss my family that was all cleared up then she warned me as well she going to send a prosecution to the scammers is this ok she asked, i said go for it take then through the wringer

i did get my money back 😉

  10. in belgium even if an order says delivered , if the courier does not have proof of delivery (foto or signature) you still get a refund or redelivery

  11. Shame it wasn't a Supreme Brick

  12. why are you dressing like Elon?

  13. This exact scam happened to me on Aliexpress. After weeks of emailing back and forth with AE, FedEx and PayPal, Ali Express has approved my refund.

We'll see if that happens too.

  14. Thats waht happend to me more then once ….. in switzerland … they send it to me but tracking says idk where and then i get the package 2 days later
once i didnt got it and called the post office of the tracking and they were like : nah this isnt yours blah blah blah

  15. Great video. I fell for this once. Yes, it was a GPU. 🙁 UPS won't provide a note even in-person, but I ended up getting a refund through a dispute claim through PayPal.

  16. I've found on eBay that sellers will cancel orders & keep money, then get eBay money back guarantee to pay refund. It needs to be that when a seller cancels order it should automatically be refunded, but you have to put in item did not arrive case, it takes nearly 3 weeks to get your money back.

  17. But if the parcel service is not allowed to give out any information because the tracking number does not match my data, that should be proof enough for me to get my money back from the marketplace. So I would only have to report the parcel service's refusal to the Marketplace, right?

  18. Marketplace on LTT site for LTT enthusiasts when?

  19. So why dosnt the platform use your address to check if the tracking code is actually yours? (entering the address of reciver gives all the tracking details – at least here in Germany)

  20. Thats the fakest looking brick I have ever seen. What, a real brick wasnt in the budget?

  21. Insurance Linus…

  22. I don't know about the US, but our marketplace use unique code that the shipper have to provide to the shipping company for the package to be verified, there are still tons of other scamming methods but at least the scammer have to show up or provide their address for the package to be verified…

  23. 9:56 Yes. And all packages I used this service for got lost.

  24. Never buy anything from the internet unless you are dealing directly with a company that you can physically visit.

  25. Oh this is the problem in india we don't have gpus from trusted sources if so they are over priced that's why I am thinking to buy Ryzen 8500g pls suggest if this is good

  26. I got scammed on a mothers day present. I disputed the charge with my bank. Then the seller provided my bank with a tracking number to my city claiming to be delivered. The thing is this fools tracking number said it was delivered a day before he even claimed he was going to ship it when I reached out to him for information. Needless to say I never heard back from my bank after providing them with all the evidence and telling them to continue the dispute.

  27. I work at ups, on the customer counter before our lovely ceo decided to outsource to the independant (in now way related to corporate ups) stores, and have provided MULTIPLE people with tracking proof a shipment wasn't theirs for ebay and Amazon alike. Always wondered how the scammers got the tracking numbers….

  28. I cry for the days the top GPU cost 300-500….

  29. Had the fake tracking number scam happen to me a couple of years ago. eBay never refunded me, and the seller even threatened to give me a bad feedback rating if I tried escalating the case. eBay turned down my attempt to escalate the case but blocked the seller from giving me a bad ranking once he found out I tried escalating the case. Having used eBay for over 20 years, I've only run into scams over the past 5 years, with most being dealt with by eBay, but I have lost $$$ a couple of times.

  30. The writing on this video was fantastic. I clicked to check it out and ended up watching the whole thing.

  31. Horrible sponsorship host. Has never been funny

  32. I ordered a Nvidia 4060 RTX 8 GIG Video card from a "fuffiled by Amazon seller" Upon arrival, I received a 4060 Box containing a msi 1050 4 GIG card after visual inspection and benchmarks. I returned the incorrect card immediately.
After 2 months, 4 calls and several e-mails and refunds requests. Amazon refused to refund the purchase, stating that upon receiving the returned card, the uncorrect product was returned. obviously, as I explained in my return e-mail, the incorrect product was packaged in the order. Luckily, my credit card company reversed the charges, and the investigation is still ongoing as to how a MSI 1050 ended in a NVIDIA 4060 box. Buyer beware Amazon Included. All tracking numbers and order numbers were accurate and verified. I since ordered a Radeon 7700 XT Hellhound 12 GiG as a replacement as I was unwilling to risk the same issue I had with the Nvidia 4060.

  33. I got given a "fake" genuine tracking number, it was even for my address and the courier provided photos of the delivery. Except that it was obviously not the item in question but a prior order from another company. I had to go through my bank under the credit card fraud clause. which took a few weeks but it was resolved thankfully. be safe ppl

  34. Really liked this video format! It's nice to have the occasional educational video with a concise, interesting topic explained via story format, showing how a concept developed, without needing any crazy projects to hook the viewer. Whoever wrote this did a great job.
