We’ve looked at some VERY disappointing Computers from Walmart. But maybe we should have skipped the Pre-Builts and bought individual parts to build a NEW GAMING PC. Yes that’s right, you can buy all kinds of PC components from your local Walmart (for now). But let’s be real, should you? To find out, we spent one thousand dollars for all the parts (like a CPU, GPU, RAM) we need to build a complete gaming rig for under $1000.

  1. My local Walmart had a 13900K for sale in store, I was pretty surprised to see that!

  2. that cpu outperforms my 4930k twice, and that cpu is twice as cheap

  3. I think when it's time to replace my rig I'm making the 4 hour drive to MicroCenter and getting a hotel so I can bring the parts home and not drive all day.

  4. Thermaltake are pretty good

  5. 0:44 I actually WAS expecting that at this point 😉

  6. What walmart sells computer parts?

  7. I love their Elon Musk esque all black baseball caps, all it needs is a shirt with white lettering saying "tech support"

  8. Blippi for tech tips!!

  9. hey Linus you could've probably done a little better by selecting in store and then having it shipped to you as I just checked at my local walmart and found an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X and an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

  10. Not many people like shopping at Walmart. Often, in small rural towns it's the only or one of the only retail stores. Certainly the only one open late and probably the only one open on Sundays. Sometimes it will be the only major store for literal hours in any direction. They form de facto local monopolies.

  11. I bought my pc build at Walmart. $700 open box with a 5600x and a 6700xt 32gb ram lol 😂 aio cooled. I guess I got lucky af

  12. Are LLT store prices in Canadian $ or USA $ ?

  13. I love newegg and ebay to buy my hardware 🙂

  14. All Walmart PCs, are overpriced garbage. Just like the rest of the products they sell. You can barely trust some of the food they sell.

  15. up charging parts that are already up charged… Classic Walmart behaver.

  16. walmart paid u…

  17. You get what you pay for.

  18. I keep going back to NewEgg for motherboards, graphics cards, memory, cases, and power supplies, but I'll still search for deals on some stuff like drives, coolers, and quiet fans.

  19. I like going to Canada computers

  20. No thank you !

  21. All local Walmarts in the central Georgia area removed their gaming PC/Laptop sections (CPUs, laptops, and gaming accessories) due to massive thievery and customers breaking display units. The sheer amount of items now behind glass or on security pegs would blow most people's minds. Peeps talking about components being sold in the electronic's sections of their Walmarts blows my mind. I couldn't imagine cases, RAM, CPUs, or motherboards being sold by people who barely know the difference between an iPhone 16 and a toilet.

  22. If you're not going to do the work of researching the best deal of selectively picking your components, then you're going to hover towards a pre-built or a console. Most consumers don't know or care about specs. Bigger number means better. If it has the work "Pro" or "Max" or "S", surely that's the better one, right?

  23. microcenter if I have the time otherwise it's Amazon

  24. You know it's funny that you bring this up at this specific time. SSDs have gotten more sparse at my local Best Buy, and often are just completely gone when I go in there. Ever since 2025 kicked off, I've noticed that Best Buy hasn't been keeping up, and I'm not sure why. As a result, I've resorted to the other two retailers near me that have any potential of selling these at a reasonable price. I've found that Office Depot is great for those 2.5" SSD varieties, and often have a solid SanDisk option in stock, and I can get them curbside same day, even within 20 minutes of ordering. However…when it comes to the m.2 variety of SSD, I've begun to order from Walmart, because often times with my Walmart+ subscription, and the same day delivery to my home/place of business, it's still cheaper than other retailers for a WD SSD. The last price I paid for SSD delivered, and my driver tipped was 74.99, and that was for the WD Black drive you showcased in this video reflecting as 85 dollars. So yeah, some individual components are definitely worth it, other times it's kind of a toss up. We really need a retailer that reliably stocks these items, as all MicroCenters are about 5 hours away from me at least.

  25. Day one of asking to bring bearded Linus back.

  26. Hey, cool! When I built my PC, I bought parts, from Newegg!!

  27. Hey, i bought an omen for dirt cheap back in the day, the case is great! The rest of the pc is functionally worthless, but since i have to travel with the thing, a durable case is really nice

  28. Product stock sucks right now… best GPU I can find in person at the time of writing this is a RTX 4060 at Micro Center.

  29. Since I work there, I actually built most of my set up with stuff that we had online that was cheap as like Amazon or new egg but is now cheaper because I have the discount card

  30. The system is built and ready to go and you guys scoured everywhere for the cheapest parts possible, so yeah the system is fine for the price no matter what the squeaky little man says. Honestly annoying video.

  31. Lately, I have been expecting the segues

  32. All fake! During the comparison of the 2 systems, the Walmart pc also had to power the red light on the screens stand while the newegg one did not. Surely, that explains the difference😂😂😂😂😂

  33. THAT CASE IS INEXPENSIVE??

  34. You bought the worst PC on Walmart. They have a RTX 4060 IBUYPOWER Desktop for $700

  35. Canadians, boycott Walmart! 🇨🇦

  36. The best place to buy PC parts depends where you live

  37. I used to like cool prices, back in the 00's, now i usually order at MEGEKKO and Alternate

  38. this wasn't walmart it was but wasnt… its just like new egg and amazon. Walmart uses 3rd party sellers. egg wal and amazon and ebay should all be in the same umbrella

  39. I typically buy from a shop called CEX. They sell only second hand stuff and give warraty on the parts. But while they do test what they take in …. the tests …. a dying card can pass so you may need to fight your case for a refund. But also sometimes the parts they sell can be more expensive then buying new, but you can get some great deals there

  40. I just had my buddy buy a 6750 on a similar budget.

  41. Newegg is the only one I use. Used to be CompUSA when they were alive, way, WAY back in the days. I have used Best Buy in recent times and was able to get matching prices to what Newegg had.

  42. you bought pc PARTS from walmart.
When you mentioned the pre-builts i was hoping you'd cover those as well. I was curious how they compared with other prebuilds

  43. PCCG (Pc Case Gear) is awesome cheap deals and with most items having free shipping.

  44. 5:24 didn’t you just pick a specific cpu that was sold and shipped by Walmart instead of any other ones… what is different with this ssd? Sold an shipped by SanDisk technologies.

  45. 16gb is not enough. Delta force alone will use 16gb+. 32gb minimum with 64gb recommend. With how cheap ram is. Your hurting your self by not grabbing 32gb or more
