The phone ID thing: Poland has solved it
We have a app that does IDs, driver's licence and government services.
To validate the document someone else can scan a QR code with the app, so you don't have to hand over your phone.
How did the Shift Fashion segment devolve into a rant about Facetime? It was a bit dissapointing to not get their take on the review.
I'd love to see a build video that includes all the hosts, have everyone create something to add to the PC kinda like a Frankenstein PC. As a fellow Canadian from Nova Scotia I'd like to thank you guys for making fun , informative content. Love watching your videos even though my PC keeps crashing.
Can't you just leave yer drivers license in the car so you don't need to carry a wallet…I'm the guy Linus replied to near new years 2024 about how I don't have ID and see no need for it. Still no ID by the way LMAO LS "That is phenomenally stupid, get identification"
Hard no the no wallet lifestyle.
Payment, gov id, drivers licence, student card, public transport travel pass.
Every single thing you have to 1. Get yourself home/food and board. Needs to be atleast one level of redundent. No-one carries cash anymore so card is the next best thing.
2. Under no circumstances do i want to hand off my second brain, which is also my only method of comunicating to loved ones. To another person. Ever.
What are you going to do when your phone is lost/dead/stolen?
Cant (legaly) drive home, cant get a hotel, cant call for help, cant pay (i dont know anyones number i should add that to my wallet actualy.), the only thing you dan do is find the nearest cop and hope they are willing to babysit you, or drive you home.
So no, i will not have everything on my phone.
The above is why i dont use wallet cases either.
53:45I don't agree that Mario Kart has a high skill level. It's more of a High precision level. The skills are easy, you're literally clicking one button for speed, cons, tricks. It's really about getting the timing down.
2:32:12 “Borat voice – My wiiiife” 😂
I agree on Mario Kart World… It's okay, but it just doesn't grab me like Mario Kart 8 did (I also played it on Wii U and pretty much skipped deluxe… I was mad about having to pay full price again for the same game so never did).
When I got my Wii U at the start of a vacation, I spent like a couple weeks playing only that. Now MKW it's just… Meh? The offline championships are easy, only thing that is a bit of a challenge is to 3 star the 150 cc ones and that's only because you have to come in first 4 times in a row and I keep getting chain stomped with powers right before the finish on the 4th one which is infuriating.
Online is terrible, it's such utter chaos with all the powers. When I first started playing I was baffled by how good everyone was when I was almost always in the top on mk8, but when spectating them it turns out… No most players are still terrible, it's just that randomness plays a much bigger part in the outcome. I'm sure if you do do the sweaty gamer thing and learn all the tricks you can almost always win against people that don't, but just being a good racer does almost nothing and it sucks.
I am playing free roam and doing the P block challenges that I find and they're fun… But if I'm honest a part of why I'm doing them is to not feel too bad about having spent all this money on the switch 2 mkw bundle. It's really not such a great game imho and would not buy again.
32:12 I’m late to the convo but it’s important to note that not all of the US states that support digital ID treat the digital ID as an actual ID….GA was one of the first states to adopt apples digital ID thing. But police in Georgia are not equipped to accept digital ID in traffic stops. It’s literally pointless for the time being Because you still have to carry your physical ID.
@31:00 in Austria we have digital id which counts as your driving license, papers, passport. Love it
Its just the Pixel device tree thats going Closed source not AOSP in Its entirety
16:08 well microsoft bought skype it was programmed by estonians tho 😀
In Norway there is an app with your drivers license.
In Poland we have almost all documents digital. Policemen can find driver licence and car registration etc in his computer. All authorities now support digital ID card etc.

How is Scary Movie not the greatest Parody Movie?
6 hours after upload and we're still on 1080p?
EU is on the way to having a standardised electronic driver license, hopefully soon™
Australia has had drivers license on our phone for many many years now. We can sign in with a qr code or have a qr code in screen for cops.
If the ROG Ally represents the future of Xbox, then Xbox is dead.
Microsoft has looked at where Xbox is headed with low hardware sales, and even lower game sales thanks to Game Pass. They're in dire need of growth, and they're looking for it by simply expanding the meaning of Xbox to encompass PC gaming as well.
Meanwhile the old Xbox console players with their massive digital libraries built over the last two decades are being left behind. Microsoft doesn't care about the people who want to play Gears of War 2 or Halo 5 on their Xbox Series X.
The promise of Xbox Play Anywhere is a great deal to those who are new to the Xbox ecosystem. But a slap in the face for people like me who already bought games on Xbox. Microsoft has no interest adding my existing library like Rare Replay or Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled to it, and once the Xbox PC transition is complete those games will stay forever stuck on the Xbox consoles of old, no matter how much Phil Spencer likes to talk about game preservation.
The Pro-E-sport Peen Pants should be designed by Porsche.
now i don't have to watch those reviews Thank you!
you could just keep your drivers license in your car
Ok, About using your phone as your car keys. SOOOOO many problems with that. What happens when your phone dies? My phone dies at least once a day. While i can't remember the last time i had to change my key fob batteries. And even then, i still have a physical key that requires no batteries at all! (old car).. If i'm just running into the quick-e-mart to grab a soda, i'm not going to take my phone with me, it stays in the car. Not to mention how much of a RPIA it ALWAYS is to unpair something that was linked to your phone, in order to re-pair a new phone.
You need a shell company, owned by a trust, to buy a new phone number. So it will take a little longer for your number to leak, lol.
27:38 for NY ID I already have my own phone App called New York Mobile ID (MiD) which you can use in place of your physical ID card. However, businesses are not required to accept it, though they can choose to.
I have not use an ID card in over 8 months and over a year before that. Eventually it will be normalize in a few years/decade.
WAIT ! @ 32:20 !!!! They do WHAT ? they go away , out of sight with your card !!! Hell NO , man that is scary
I was so happy when my dad finally switched to an iPhone lol
