Comments

  1. I'm all for x2 frame gen so long as the base fps is above 60. I actually use lossless scaling on almost everything I play as a way of reducing the heat produced by my PC. It's great for watching YouTube, too. The only thing I don't use it on are highly stylized games, and esport games.

  2. what on earth is going on at 2:09, why are they both moaning

  3. Leth goooooooo!

  4. W

  5. Lossless Scaling is so awesome! I use it to play single player games on my 4k tv at 120Hz. Games where my base framerate is above 60 fps but cant reach 120 fps. I also love using it on older SP games that are cappet at 60 fps.

I don't use it for multiplayer games though. For MP games I just lower the video quality settings, so that I get a high framerate. Visual quality is not as important for me in MP games.

  6. LINUTH! THOP IT! This is hilarious, I love it. Imagine ppl who don't watch WAN show and have no idea what is going on here

  7. does it work with vr? and does it work in linux?

  8. It doesn't work with DSR/VSR tho.

  9. @6:30 the close up of Linus saying "lossless" a lot with rain coming towards the monitor behind him feels very unintentional but I s2g I thought he was spraying it for a bit.

  10. why it feels like he has a potato in his mouth?

  11. can you make a video talking about fps drop in the game counter strike 2?

  12. I think this could really shine in some of the windows handhelds

  13. So what you're saying is… crossfire GPUs are back?

  14. Finally, we got a very late segue, to our sponsor. Though I loved it at the start.

  15. The best thing about losless scaling is that it can force games made in 30 fps to run in 60 fps. Playing the original ridge racer 4 and soul edge on duckstation is amazing and incredible in 60 fps

  16. Linus is very outdated at software technology. This has been known for long. Still Fire Video!!!

  17. Cool software, but it's applicability is questionable when there is FSR/DLSS built-in almost every game now

  18. Your voice sounds messed up and is hard to listen to

  19. I wonder how good gamescope on Linux is

  20. Lossless scaling has been a must have for me. I use it for most games i play from Space Marines 2 to older games through emulation. I use a 1920 x 1080 monitor with a 144 refresh and get the best results locking a games fps between 60-72. Other games locked at 30 may get some artifacting but can still be enjoyable. (The Xenoblade Chronicles games are amazing at a higher fps!)

The profile I use , I hope this helps anyone interested:
    -Frame Generation
    Type: LSFG 3.1
    Mode: Fixed
    Multiplier: 2
    Flow Scale: around 80%
    Performance: Off

    -Scaling
    Type: Off
    Mode: Auto – Fullscreen

    -Rendering
    Sync mode: Vsync
    Max frame latency: 1
    HDR support: Off
    G-Sync support: Off
    Draw FPS: On

    -Capture
Capture API: DXGI (not able to upgrade to windows 11 so cant say how good WGC is)
    Queue target: 0

    -Cursor
    All: off

    -GPU & Display
    All: Auto

    -Crop Input
    All: 0

    -Behavior
    Multi-display mode: On

  21. I don't need any of this. Still playing native 1080p. Looks good enough for me with all settings on max and still over 60fps in every game!

  22. I legit thought my brain is giving up on me, before seeing the comments that Linus has braces on lmao.

  23. I remember buying Oblivion and being stuck with a view distance less than the engage distance of enemies so I was getting fireballs out of the mist. It was hard to navigate and I was still only getting about 20 FPS. That was enough to make me upgrade my PC.

  24. Wtf with his voice. Like he lose front tooths

  25. what about magpie

  26. I couldn't watch this. Could you do a test first and see if you can speak properly before committing to doing a video?

  27. The best use case is the adaptive frame generation for games where you can already achieve a high refresh rate (like 90fps) most of the time, but due to a poorly optimised game you get drops to ~60fps every so often. It really smooths out the game with no noticeable artefacts or increased latency.

  28. I Taut I Taw A Jensen Huang … I did!

  29. Linuth thoundth like riff raff with the braceth

  30. Can you use it for a laptop? Because that would be very nice. I have quite a shitty laptop

  31. 1:30 oh yea I also still have that DOOM I only played the first like 10 minutes

  32. It doesn't make you GPU "faster", so not Real

  33. This solution works. But with a lot of downsides for someone who actually has an old system and want to squeeze more life out of it. This is not a solution for these type of people when you show me a 5080 and pair it with a 3060 for DISPLAY ONLY??

    My example:
    – main GPU GTX 1060 (yeah I know it's already old but I'm not upgrading until GTA VI comes out so I wanted to limp a bit more)
    – second GPU for display GTX 660

    My issues:
    – no freesync support for my monitor using the 660 as display card
    – locked to old drivers 47x if I want both GPU's to work at the same time since 660 is no longer supported

Thought I found the solution for e-waste but this is not the case…

  34. So looks great but plays like poop so far 5:14

  35. Congrats for the huge promo Losses Scaling got from Linuth 😮🎉

  36. Chuckie sounding ahh Linuth Thweck Thipth

  37. I should test it on my Intel Iris graphics. 😀

  38. real or na

  39. "Hardware-agnostic framegen for 7$" is the correct title

  40. Another video that could have been a better replacement for the April Fool's video
