  3. JerryRigEverything's durability test is absolutely useless.

  4. @luke Daikin and Midea have unit that use one outdoor for 2-3 indoor unit

  5. I. Main Topics & Introduction

Show Introduction & Topics Overview [00:07]

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold "got a little spicy" and started smoking during a durability bend test. [00:34]

The hosts touch on Phillips, the light bulb and shaver company, and the possibility of them "abandoning" something. [00:49]

A brief mention of how ChatGBT loses its mind when asked about a seahorse emoji. [01:18]

II. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold Catches Fire

    The Durability Failure [00:34]

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold experienced a failure (smoke/fire) during a bend test conducted by JerryRigEverything. [00:42]

The hosts note that this is the first phone to fail in this specific way during Zach's (JerryRigEverything) durability testing. [06:13]

iFixit's Elizabeth Chamberlain commented that, while dramatic, the battery fire doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong with the device's design as a whole. [06:23]

    Cost and Foldable Devices [07:16]

Linus suggests that there are "plenty of other reasons" not to buy the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, primarily its excessive cost. [07:16]

The hosts agree that the high price point applies equally to Samsung's folding devices. [07:22]

III. Gaming Nostalgia and Publisher Decisions

The Value of Original Games [00:20]

Capcom reportedly does not see the value in re-releasing their original games. [00:20]

Linus expresses a desire to own the original, untouched versions of classic games like XCOM Apocalypse instead of fixed or enhanced versions. [19:28]

The Free Time of Youth [38:58]

The discussion transitions into how the abundance of free time and lack of responsibilities as a child allowed people to master complex, challenging games. [39:09]

IV. AI Data Center Power and Cooling

    Obscene Power Density [04:07:02]

The sheer power consumption for GPU servers in AI data centers is discussed, noting that building a fully dense AI data center requires "utterly obscene power density." [04:07:16]

A major deployment required taking down nodes and rerouting all networking and power from one side of the data center to the other. [04:07:27]

    Cooling Costs [04:07:44]

The additional heat load required the addition of three evaporative cooling towers, costing around $1.2 million each. [04:07:50]

    V. Linus's Home Automation and Closing

    Personal Updates & Age [04:08:41]

Linus gives a non-update on the full install of his new light switches but mentions plans for new home automation projects. [04:08:54]

A viewer comment suggests Linus is "living in his 40th year," which leads to a lighthearted disagreement about how to count age. [04:10:05]

    New Home Automation Tech [04:09:14]

New members of the writing team flagged interesting technologies, including heat pump water heaters that function like an HVAC system on top of a water tank. [04:09:19]

He is also looking into a smart electrical panel that can perform load shedding, allowing non-essential circuits to be killed when the power limit is reached. [04:09:41]

    Show Closing [04:10:43]

  6. 11:36 discord is great, but not necessarily a messaging app. In areas where connectivity is lower opening discord for just sending a message just doesn’t work. I’m an heavy Discord user and for example yesterday on a flight I could send iMessage and WhatsApp messages but no way to open discord

  7. when is linus going stop simping for bad bad products like his idea of handhold's just shows the same mindset that holds most gaming back catering to the dumbest user hence the staff down size teams are cracking up like do any show up for live any more 500-1k atlest when live so ya no one cares unless it's some news thing then they catch up on tubes like am sure battle bots gets more views then this giggles

  8. 7:57 and in the meantime Apple has a great option for 800$. I was tempted by the Pixel but after trying it and the iPhone 27, the latter is just better value and saying that about sn Apple product sounds insane

  9. 37:58 oblivions menu system navigation as a 10 year olds 1st bethesda game on ps3 confused me for a month

  10. Can someone enlighten me and tell why the headrests (secret lab) are upside down? I see it's recurring pattern recently 😅 it's more comfy this way or what?

  11. 4 hour FTW

  12. 16:30 I think making one big screen is the wrong way to go. It should be more microsoft duo style, but they should focus on getting the screens as close together as possible with no bezel on the inner edge.

  13. Why are they talking about Capcom? They always release their retro games. They know people will emulate.

  14. Such a dad shirt Luke is wearing

  15. I had a similar situation at my apartment and a neighbor smoking from their unit.

  16. Video games are not real life lol

  17. Why Companies don't want to release old games.
Its about time, effort, royalties from old devs, music and patents that they don't own anymore. If they don't see a higher return then they wont do it. Its about MONEY

  18. If you're wondering why there's no timestamps, YouTube lets you ask gemini if you type "timestamp" which has replaced any need to look for them in the comments section religiously.

It was fun while it lasted, timestamp community o7

  19. HP and DMG is enormous is literally every souls like game…

  20. I have been on the folding team for years, nice to see it's a yearly thing.

  21. Hey Linus, The difficulty of tough early games like FF really adds to the mystery imo. I love not knowing anything about games now, I hate guides 😂

  22. I genuinely don’t understand the appeal of folding phones.
(But hey I might not be the most trendy smartphone user any way in upgrading phones very 6-8 years, not using mine for music or games and having zero notifications active unless it’s a traditional phone call or SMS… 😅)

  23. HP go up is great in E33, because you just want combat to last longer, cause its so much fun!

  24. I love a good long wan show!

  25. Moment of silence for Timestamp guy. 🙏🏼🤣

  26. Did google do a note 7?

  27. google searched is shit this the AI

  28. 18:32 Absolytely! FF7 is a fine example of this. The remakes are just pure dogshit.

  29. 1:13:00 While I don't take issue with anyone else shopping there, I will avoid dollar stores as much as I can. In the US at least, the working conditions are horrendous. You will see one employee tasked with taking care of the whole store, cashier, stocking, inventory, cleaning, etc. All of this while barely being paid above minimum wage. Theft and Loss is also pretty high and the burden of this is placed onto individual employees by management. I work pretty close as a vendor for some dollar stores and the amount of times I have seen the whole staff of a store quit is insane. I cant in my right mind support this business model with my money.

  30. 00:12 i have a boardgame and pen & paper club. Like… analogue gaming. Guess which platform we use … discord.

  31. Four hour WAN Show is back on the menu, boys!

  32. Time stamps… I thirst for timestamps… NoKi… where art thou…?

  33. 4 hour wan show at last ❤😊

  34. The initial pause, and Luke looking up to check if it’s him, or the intentional pause… will never get old 🫶

  35. 34:00 with how long installs were, and early patches when that started, you had time to read everything in the manual, sometimes even more than once.
