Hi I need advice ,I am trying to buy a Laptop
I have around 800 dollars saved for it
I want something where I can code, play some games and it lasts me for a longer time, atleast 3-4 years
gaming chair. worst buy ever. ikea meshed chair is better.
i have hyper x cloud 2 and i don't think normal headsets perform like it.
the popularity of gaming headset I think is because of desk space and not enough USB ports
Aw man
I like my wireles keyboard
(I game on the coutch the pc is acros the room i would constantly trip over the cable)
everyone dropping suggestions for 400$ headsets not realizing most studios arent making audio in games meant for audiophile headphone so it sounds WORSE
My headset mic sounds just as good as my Sm57 in discord
the only gaming headset worth it is the hyper x cloud 2s decent quality ok mic decent price good for someone new to gaming who doesnt want to buy used audio gear
I bought one of those headphones once. And guess where the microphone was? Inside the headphones itself. Not some pull out headphone mic. No. Like a payphone. A PAYPHONE.
Well then what headset is good for PS5 because I have the hyper x
"they suck compared to picking up a standalone microphone and just a nice pair of headphones"
mentions gaming headsets are just basically ewaste
While bad headsets are common, I have NEVER had someone talk on discord with a standalone mic that didn't pick up a bunch of background sound, headsets are on average, for whatever reason, better at not picking that noise up.
Outside of microphone issues in particular, nothing about a headset is more prone to becoming ewaste than any headphones with the same amount of wear, given similar build quality.
So the issue is quality then, "Just get a headset from a reputable headphone brand" you might say. I tried. I spent hundreds of dollars on a headset from an audiophile brand. BAR NONE it was the worst headset I have ever used, for sound, for the microphone, and for comfort. I had my friends begging me to go back to my dying headset, the mic was that bad. It was a returned package (I could tell because the sticker seal was cut), and they clearly just glanced at it, called it good, and put it back out there. How do I know they did no quality check? the drivers were out of date by two years and had critically atrocious issues that should have been addressed wholesale. And despite doing them a favor and updating their drivers, it only brought the headset to "subpar".
So what's the solution? Give up and go with what you know works good enough. If you want to call something overrated, at least acknowledge the pitfalls of every other alternative
I agree. Just get quality surround sound like an adult.
no rgb braces?
Obviously the GPU.
These GPUs nowadays are so overpriced, that you could buy the best complete gaming PC package for this ammount of money back then.
My old PC was approx. between 2000 to 2500 €.
Guess what that 5090 is on amz?
Freaking 2990,29€.
Sure, it has quadruple the capacity of my card (the 8GB 1070) but damn this one is expensive as hell.
For the ammount of Graphics you get, in my eyes a fair price would be around 1500€ to 2000€ max. for this card.
Think about it, I say it again:
You used to get a whole PC package for this ammount back then!
Bought a PlayStation headset used it for like 2 years about and one of the chords was coming undone sew the volume kept on going in and out on one side
I need the option to mute on the headset…
Nothing against the Hyper X Cloud II, I got my pair almost a decade ago and they still work wonderfully!
I play on the couch… i need a wireless gaming keyboard and the logitech g901 (i think) works flawlessly. I don't play shooters so I really don"t care for input latency and it's absolutely minimal tbh
