Western Union primarily serves transferring to and from developing countries where banks are not reliable, it's just not for a travelling Canadian.
Password management – back in the mid 90’s we used something called PCGuard. If the person using it was savvy then it was pretty good, but you could completely lock out your machine (this was deployed on Pathworks v4 and v5)
That's like in my school 10 years ago. We always watched horror movie trailers on the pc in our classroom before lessons started.😂
The account name and password were the same…
These dudes are clueless about security!
32:30 Watch a video of a baggage handler arranging luggage in the fuselage of a plane and you'll realise why there's a strict weight limit. There's one person, often on their knees, that's placing everything by hand like a giant game of tetris, and if they're forced to move overweight bags it's a significant health and safety issue (my father has a ruined back because of this).
It's got nothing to do with the plane's ability to fly, unless of course, everyone decided to show up with significantly overweight bags.
Haven't watched an LTT video for a while so maybe he's just a year older, but Linus doesn't look well, he's been thinner, had a full beard before and a 5 o'clock shadow but there's something "off". I know there's been a bit of friction in his community between fellow yt'ers etc the past 6 months or more, maybe just a bit of stress? (Though i'm sure he's lived with that since NCIX days & the unboxing vids).
Did you guys try passbolt? It has password sharing feature that are great for teams.
WOW Fintech is so backward in europe and americas countries india is much better
If they have an overdraft fee they should reach out to their bank to waive it.
15:00 In Europe you can do SEPA operations, so you can just do transfers INSTANTLY no matter wich country or amount
@15:15 the UK has had instant bank transfers for over 15 years. The system was introduced in 2008, the major banks had it deployed at launch and every bank supported it within a couple of years.
Also, doesn't cost anything.
I think most(?) developed countries have something similar, however of course everyone has deployed different payment networks so if you want to send something internationally you end up having to pay £25 and wait 3 days for a "SWIFT" transfer… They need to change the name!
In my once workspace I hadn’t access to password management and had to change my password monthly 😅 After the couple dozens decent weird passwords that I written at the back of my head I went to colleagues names and stupid stuff like medication boxes names I seen closest to me at that point 😅 The new workspace is more advanced with two+ factor and the stuff
As mentioned by comments like europe and Australia, India has instant money ( and free for consumer and small merchant) transfer except payments processed by visa Mastercard/amex, they are same. Linus if you are looking at this, lookup NEFT, IMPS, UPI in that order.
In regards YouTube viewing , I usually watch you through my YT tv app or occasionally using my iPad.
15:55 damn bro, canadian banks must just suck
In the Netherlands if you transfer money, it's like.. less than a minute before it shows up at the other bank.
So glad the ugly headphone pads are gone, they only look good up close but from the viewer POV it’s a terrible mess.
"Supervisor" is probably just code for "most senior newbie on shift"
I was a security supervisor for a museum. Our systems were very similar, extremely outdated, and our password to take us offline with the police was literally our address! The same address was also used to log into most monitoring systems. You really cannot make this stuff up, it is way too common! This was only 11 years ago and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still the same.
How to watch without timestamp 😢
How to watch without timestamp 😢
Linus is sutch a good guy.
If that airport story had been told by an meeican, you be sure the had pulled the
" Do you know who Im? Do you KNOW how many subscribers i got??"
mr timestamps we need you
other countries (Australia) have instant transactions
It's still surprising how many big facilities use no security. I work for a city government and all our passwords are are last name😂. IT just sends an email once a year asking people to change it but 90% of the employees delete it right away. I shocked my boss when I started and and changed mine.
You also have toothbrushes and electronic razors and stuff in checked bags, in those cases even with batteries…
Sometimes for certain machines you have a lot of teams, some of them even external who need access and coordinating password sharing is hard so sometimes the password might just be whatever was set by some guy 20 years ago. Especially if it's a isolated system that you can only access physically. Other times you have cases where the new intern hasn't gotten access to the password manager yet mostly out of their own lazyness to follow up on it, but as a result they write down the password and stick it to for example the underside of the keyboard or table.
About the luggage conversation, it's only SPARE lithium batteries you can't put in checked luggage. You can have laptops with lithium batteries in them. I've literally flown with 100 lbs of straight laptops for work just fine multiple times. At least for USA TSA domestic flights, maybe the Canadians are pickier.
Again should the time stamps not be done by dan in real time at the level of production LMG is ?
As far as I can remember I've only had my backpack weighed twice once on Qatar airways (when they let my family weigh all our bags together instead of repacking because they were collectively under the weight allowance) and once on Emirates (who didn't care that my bag was overweight). I always pack my backpack out to 10kg+ and stick it under the seat despite not fitting in the tiny bag size guide. Most airlines really don't care, but generally from my experience they care a lot more about checked luggage weight because it's much easier to pack those bags very overweight.
Windows support just means they don't force dosghit updates on you…not that it ceases working. Why is that such a big thing you harp on?
31:30 Yeah like I believe it's more common than not to just calculate the total carry on weight by multiplying an assumed average by the amount of passengers onboard.
My local museum found out their code wasn't changed when the old bank vault was installed, and has been that for 40 years😂
To do with bank transfers. Faster payments in the uk take hours (usually quicker thought) up to a certian amount. Making a payment to a compay takes 2-3 sometimes 4 days. Never done international payments so no idea
@Louvre it guy: here a passwort free to use, have fun.
Bullish1-?Cloud-Comic0-Crabbing1-Subside0-Broiling9-Drainer!
19:30 what about if they have the grandfathered floatplane price and if they cancel, they lose that price?
No batteries is very important so the plane doesn’t burn down mid flight cuz it’s happened many times. But no electronics? Les
In the UK all banks have agreed on using 1 system for transfers so no matter what bank someone is with the money will be instantly transferred whereas most other countries have multiple different systems that make it difficult to transfer money instantly
1:08:20 As soon as you turned the memberships off all the suggested video slots that the membership videos were taking in my feed seemed to have been replaced with other channels membership videos…
12:47 is it me or is luke really really tired?
BRO, reason a lot of trivial customer facing services require or push for MFA is due of costs. Every time customer account gets taken over company needs to spend real human hours. Implementing MFA is way cheaper than dealing with all that shit.
I’ve never been this early
32:30 Pretty sure weight distribution is a big thing with airplanes. So it's probably better for each luggage piece to be the same weight right?
Air Canada has always been super bad at knowing policy. Almost missed a flight during covid because they didn’t know what they were doing
Inter bank transfers in Australia are now instant and free for the most part, which is very nice
No mercy for passwords like that! 😫
We recently had a similar issue with a new client and his M365 tenant Adminaccount.🤯
I didn't want to believe it at first, but I got in and there was no two-factor authentication…
If something happens, no mercy!
Change your passwords to something decent, and if you keep them in a notebook in a drawer, that's better than a Louvre!
20:30 European Banking has been regulated to allow instant Payments from your bank accounts this year. At least some progress is made!
In europe the money transfer is instant, literally seconds between banks and it is mandatory.

KeePass was created in 2003
As someone who has worked in Corporate IT for most of his adult life I have never questioned the password in games…. nor the passwords written down like 10 feet away….. Because I have literally seen executives of fortune 500 companies put sticky notes with their AD password on their monitor….
