Decent choices. I think it depends on so many factors, mainly what you have and what you aim for. Some people prefer fluidity in the games and others great visuals. Asuming that someone has a balanced PC that is mid tier, probably monitor and GPU might be the two most important upgrades. CPU and RAM (proper amount not speed) second tier. Audio is important but you can get something decent for less money so is not a big deal in that regard imo, is not a like you have to chose between speakers or GPU. Motherboard and PSU should never be entry level, mid tier stuff to mid-high is great, and high end is a waste of money. Storage is last for me, sata ssd is ok imo but is not that much cheaper than nvme gen3, but any of those is enough, 2 tb minimum.
After recently buying a whole new PC, headset and monitor, I would say the monitor is the best thing to upgrade, especially after getting a £1000 monitor for 45% off. The difference between a 240 Hz IPS monitor and a 240 Hz 4K QD OLED monitor is huge!

For Keyboards, I would say look at some Chinese brands like Ajazz, Royal Kludge, Aula, Madlions etc. there are usually much cheaper than more established brands but provide solid products
I have to say this. These kind of videos are too few. I enjoyed it. There's still people that don't really know their own PC, and this one serves as a good introduction.
My advice build one as fast as you can, RAM prices are already crazy and this will have a knock on effect with GPUs etc as we move into 2026. It’s gonna be like the mining era all over again. Act fast.
If your m.2 is over 3 years old and gets used a LOT, even a Like-For-Like replacement feels like an upgrade!

Honestly, I'm right with you on this list, looking into new external hardware already. I do have a question though, I'm building another PC using some old parts: the 11600K and 16GB RAM @ 3200, and the GB Aorus B560M PRO AX. If I acquired a 4060 or the like to go along with it, would it handle 2025 gaming well or should I invest in slightly newer parts?

Everyone knows rgb is directly responsible with great framerates. This has been a known fact since the dinosaurs.
Man.. I would put CPU cooling higher, like B level… I just changed my AIO which was just not doing the job and the difference in gaming is almost night and day. Where before I would hit 100 C while playing BF6, I'm not at 85 C without throttling, now I'm able to really take advantage of the CPU as it was intended, all by making that one change.
