This is the first comment I’m leaving on this channel. I don’t usually comment on videos, but I like following various IT channels to see how things evolve day by day in this field.
It’s a unique channel , not perfect, but what I appreciate is its originality and the way it does things differently, similar to Gamers Nexus (I know they don’t get along), because they do things differently and don’t just go with the “wave.”
A few weeks ago, I watched the big hype around running LLMs in a cluster of Apple Studio computers. An interesting project — expensive, but interesting. The first video I saw was from Jeff Geerling (a really great guy), then it was picked up by Jake, the former LTT employee, and after that by Network Chuck.
In the end, I had the feeling they were all in the same building and each had 30 minutes to film their video — nothing new, nothing different, just content made for views.

Wild. I think it’s so easy to forget that the product (a YouTube video or a hoodie or a Floatplane stream) has so many real people paying real bills and working their butts of to make it happen. Good on LMG for paying fair wages and investing in employee culture.

I have been sitting here a few minutes after the video. I don't normally comment, but this video I thinks deserves it. The fact you try to be transparent, that you change your policies. Hell you made it possible for Alex and Jake to do their own thing. In my 50 year old eyes speaks volumes of your character. No one is perfect and the fact that you have gone as far as you have is awesome. I wish you, your family and your employees the world. Thanks for the content. Well… extremely powerful tools for extreme prices (even if LTT probably never even uses more than a few percent of the capabilities of SW 😉
Oh and with the buildings. So you did probably what my dad was doing with his co-founders with his company. They own the building in an extra company and renting it out to the company. So once you retire or drop out you still get the money from the rent.
Nobody hates capitalists that care about the ladder they leave behind them.
