  1. I'm seeing double here. 4 WAN Shows!

  2. 25:43 is DMS his legal name? 🤣

  3. Congrats for the wedding❤🎉

  4. Congrats to the newlyweds 🎉🎉

  5. So, there is the obvious possibility ofthe AI bubble popping before all this hardware shifts, but there is also the potential of it popping after it has been paid for and shipped.

Neither of these are good situations for the PC hobby.

If the first happens, its almost a roll of the dice to see which manufacturers survive and which don't. If the second happens, we have these large corperations with billions of dollars of hardware, and no immediate means of generating revenue from it. There is no doubt at all that they will do something to get revune from that – the question is what will they do? History suggests they will find some way of taking a computing operation we take for granted, and making it require the cloud and charging a subscription. My biggest concern is what will be taken away from us in order for these companies to sell us back a subscription for that compute to make them a return.

  6. wow, Linus's face the entire time was absolutely amazing.

  7. As cool as the wedding is , using your screen names for a wedding is very tacky to me

  8. We now have an Indian running Xbox now? Now we'll all be buying games with Google Play cards!
    😂

  9. i want the full story on lmg clips

  10. Shawarma?

  11. I'm looking forward to the final WAN on LTT when Linus will not be able to say same bad time same bad channel. I've always watched the recordings later. Never really did twitch.

  12. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
    WAN Show Wedding :3

  13. if you want to ctrl f for AI you have to use spaces, search for " ai " so its not in the middle of a word

  14. these people might have had the most people at their wedding ever lol

  15. Nobody prefers fake resolution. Enough with the gaslighting. It’s hardly a preference if its the only option being shoved down your throat

  16. The reason why Luke is so conservative with money finally becomes clear at the end of this episode.

  17. Congratulations! I hope you both live a long happy life together!

  18. I started showering on the first ad read. Wtf happened?💀 random ahh wedding on WAN Show💀😂 All the love and happiness to the couple❤

  19. We do not prefer fake resolution. We prefer good frame rates, which are almost impossible at native resolution for virtually ALL new game releases and have been for the last couple of years. Optimizations suck so hard that we're basically forced into fake resolution if we want a stable gaming experience.

  20. as someone who struggles to run my native res(3440×1440 @165hz) DLSS absolutely ends up looking better, running smoother and an overall better experience than struggling to run the game at native res.

How are the tech dudes a year or two lagging in this experiment?

  21. One hell of a segue to our sponsor.

  22. Very cool wedding. 🎉
Not been to one for a while.
Although I don't know them, very happy for them both! 👰🤵

  23. 5 times last night both copilot and Gemini failed to accurately report the age of someone, I think it was Jean-Claude Van Damme They both reported 63 and 64 and copilot reported 63, 62 and 64, all incorrect. It's like it fails to do the math from the birthday and is more likely to just regurgitate an outdated age that it pulled from an old article or forum.

  24. definitely not a real wedding. I heard nothing from the bible. Which is the on true way to become married. I just heard a bunch a made it bs.

  25. My first thought: "I wonder why Thorum took over the entire WAN show as a sponsor this week."
30 minutes into the show: "OH! I SEE!"

  26. People prefer upscaling because that's the only thing many have known for the past 5 years now. And TAA has been responsible for ruining image quality for over a decade now. I don't think temporal AA methods are bad no matter what, but they undoubtedly ruin native resolution gaming. Only once you step it up to like 130-150% render scale does the image start looking good again. But even just 130% render res, who can afford that? When most people are on crappy x60 GPUs that struggle a ton w/o DLSS? You could combine DLSS with DSR, but something like 1080p -> 1440p DLDSR or whatever it's called is still going to be a no-go for many people. Nvm that using DSR basically requires exclusive fullscreen. You can DSR the desktop I believe, but now you have to use Windows scaling to get legible text, it's just annoying.
I wish devs would make DLSS and FSR work with in-game render scales.. hell.. many games' render scales don't even go above 100% anymore… shit's ass..

  27. "…..like this segway, to our wedding!"

  28. 2:28:29 Wait till Linus learns about right to repair issues with things like stoves to feed soldiers on warships.

  29. if by fake resolution you mean DLAA

  30. 11:33 that's not accurate. The people that like Star Wars have made the things people have not enjoyed as much. Andor is a great example. You had people that were not huge Star Wars fans running and writing it and yet it's considered the best Star Wars content by many since the original trilogy.

  31. So my theory on why Xbox didn't just call it xbox 2, xbox 3, etc. is that they were always going to be one behind playstation and didn't want people chosing between a "PS 5" or an "Xbox 4" because monkey brain goes "5 is bigger than 4, so better"

  32. Valve needs to sell the Steam Machine with a Barebones option along side the two pre-configured models they planned. Those that already have compatible NVMe drives and RAM modules spare could take advantage and it would greatly help with costs to buy plus help valve sell many more units. I would even consider buying more than one steam machine if I can add my own storage and memory. There’s always risk of incompatibility but all hardware has those risks. Valve can release a verified hardware list, and worst case my spares don’t work I know I can find my own at likely 5x prices. 🙁

  33. Not sure what they paid, but for an attendance this size, the budget per/person was quite reasonable

  34. Look Linus, I get the spirit behind dumping "merch messages", but I feel you're looking waaaaayy to far into it. The folks watching the wan show are the same people that are going to be buying their 4th screwdriver because it's in a new colorway. Similar to how Veritasium's recent video on the ice industry (really good, you should go watch it) apparently had a (now removed but frequently mentioned in the comments) segment at the begining saying that the video is about ice and not ICE, many people pointed out that the people that can't tell the difference between the 2 in context aren't watching his videos, so too are your wan viewers, the people who don't understand the difference between "random ass screen print" and "CW products", aren't watching the wan show. "Checkout messages" also just does not flow the same like a nice alliteration, and just sounds wrong.

Sorry, rant over, it just seems clunky and unnecessary, and I feel you're looking in way too deep, farther than you really need to.

  35. 1:29:04
I managed to get a new pre-built PC for quite a good deal, 9800X3D 32GB ram, 1TB NVMe and a RTX 5070 for about 2000$ a good deal here in the EU
