  1. You could build ddr4 system to save money with up to 14th gen intel and a z690 board. Other options are cheaper laptop ddr5 with adapters. I’ve got both setups to try with a 12700k when I get round to putting them together.

  2. DDR5 runs in dual channel 32bit with a single stick. You need to match timings on downclocked ram. Ryzen always runs better on 32gb vs 16gb from 3000 series on.

  3. I don’t know how you are using 7gb ram on the desktop. I’m using less than 4 on windows 11 desktop, about 9 typically on a game.

  4. My ddr5 crucial pro 5600 took a dookie and I bought the vengeance ddr5 6000 mhz for $431 dollars!!!!! I was pissed but the new ram is awesome! 2 sticks 32gb of memory

  5. They should test a 2x4GB dual channel kit and see if it matches the 8GB dual channel kit.

  6. I got Kingston FURY Beast RGB 32GB (2x 16GB) 6000MT/s cl30 from ccl for only £330

  7. Do NOT buy a single 16GB stick. Instead, you and a buddy split the price of a 2x16GB kit and each build a single-channel PC. Later, when you have saved again or when prices (we hope) fall, split the price of another 2x16GB set. Reunite the first set in one PC; put the new set in the other. This assures you both get a factory paired 2×16 kit rather than risking not being able to ever find a second identical 16GB stick again.

  8. Glad I didn't fall for the DDR5 trap. I also bought up a shit;oad of fantastic DDR4 at blowout prices, DDR4 4000 CL16 and DDR4 CL14 only $60 for 16GB, 64GB of corsair vengeance 3600 CL18 for $100 that I was able to reset to CL16 with one click. I bought 5800X3D for $262 and 5700X3D for $282. Building systems for family now out of odds and ends I had laying around.

  9. I say we all knox over the data centers and take back our ram lol

  10. Not a fan of this video, since there is not an answer. Either bite the bullet and spend more for your normal want OR wait and don't buy.

  11. Wow, thank you so much for making this video!! Looking at buying ddr5 ram right now as I'm upgrading after nearly 10 years, as I've started having driver issues and games being unplayable on my old hardware. Despite looking around for this exact information, I have just been unable to find it until now!!

  12. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC… Thank you PC centric!!

  13. It is crazy to see that 16gb RAM is still enough these days after all that bashing from Youtubers and hardcore Gamers about 16gb.
I'm running 16gb since 2016 till this day and never was above 80% usage.

  14. I can't believe I was umming and aching about paying £370 a couple of years ago for 128gb of 6000mhz just sold half of it for £620 2 x 32gb sticks.

  15. Okay, I will buy a 64gb kit.

  16. Title is completely wrong!!! DISLIKED 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

  17. It's probably cheaper to buy a prebuilt PC. Remove the memory/GPU/NVmE drive and sell the rest.

  18. I don’t understand how my Xbox can run hogwarts legacy so much smoother than a 1500+ pc

  19. i have 6000mh cl40….will the cl40 give me a higher ping in games ?

  20. No one is building right now.

  21. We really enjoy your videos, mate. Keep it up, and thank you.

  22. I recomend trying a cut down version of windows like sapphireOS. Its a cut down version of windows 11 and on a fresh install uses less than 2gb of system ram. might be a good alternative if u wanna build a pc and get 16gb of ddr5

  23. what would be the best cpu for the rx 9060xt?

  24. ddr4 still costs 3x what it cost a year ago. so instead of paying 80 quid you pay 240

  25. YIKES! a ton of fast talking about the obvious…..it only causes confusion for someone who is buying a new computer build!
If you're looking to play games, just buy a PlayStation – for a fraction of the price of a PC !
If you are just hanging out on the internet, mild gamer – any old PC will do it for you ! : )
THOSE are the right choices, do not take this advice people !

  26. Sorry, but to help me decide where to spend my money, we’re missing an important piece of information: you didn’t include a kit, for example 16×2 6400 CL30 or 6000 CL30. ( Even faster ones you can find plenty of 7200 CL34 kits, for example. ) I think that’s essential before deciding whether it’s worth investing all this money. In fact, someone with no technical knowledge might read your content and think “well, the difference is minimal,” and conclude that there’s no point in buying faster RAM… I understand you meant well, but actually this could lead someone without the right technical knowledge to spend a ridiculous amount of money on RAM, while being convinced they’re not losing much… maybe even with a high‑end PC behind it. I think this kind of content is actually dangerous, you know?

  27. I picked the wrong time to build a gaming PC.
Ended up ordering 32GB Patriot Viper 6000MHz CL30 RAM through Overclockers UK for £357. Good thing was i was able to use Klarna & pay it over 6 months. So far I have the ROG STRIX B650E-F Gaming WiFi, Ryzen 5 7600X & the RAM. Tomorrow I have a few things coming: Peerless Assassin cooler, Thermal Paste, Anticipate static gloves (to be super careful), Corsair RM850x Modular PSU & the MSI VIGOR GK30 COMBO Keyboard & Mouse. For the case ive went with the Hyte X50 & it comes Sunday. Super excited to build this but I have a dilemma. Which GPU do I put in this build 🤔 its between the RX 9070XT or the RTX 4070 TI.

  28. All the YouTubers testing Chinese ram, the new trend…

  29. What youll need : Balaclava

  30. the video title was completely incorrect, because the ram didn't cost half the normal price at all

  31. Steal it? Jerk off the salesperson? Swap the price label? Write to santa?

  32. this video makes no sense, as if you were to buy a single 16gb stick of ddr5 then buy another 16gb stick later it would cost more than just buying a 32gb kit

  33. Funny you make this the day after i send my vengeance ram in for RMA. Been having so many problems running 2 sticks. Literally just been running 1 and for the most part its fine.

Edit: really appreciate this video ive been really curious about it..

    Heh you pooted

  34. I found mine just lying plugged into a machine in a data centre. Easy to get and loads there for people

  35. just done myself an am5 build, went with klevv 32gb 6000 cl30 from overclockers, was £330 but now £300

  36. first
