Amazing Products 5 Best Mini ITX Cases 2026 | Best ITX Case 2026

Comments

  1. Funny you are talking Linux stuff. I abandoned Windows this week and have converted to Linux. I'm never turning back. Windows can pound sand. I'm done. Applications that only use Windows are frowned upon forever more. I will stand on this hill till the death. Never again will I use Windows or Microsoft.

  2. Hey luke when you fix your windows update thing can you make a video on it, or at least a wan show segment. My windows has been failing to install 2024-08 for..well since 2024

I daily linux so its not the a security concern, but its annoying the odd time I need a windows program

  3. Luke has so many Windows feelings. Burn them up Luke.

  4. I had the same experience with ?friture? Needed a simple waterfall and peaks. Windows 5 solutions that I couldn't get to select a mic or other source.. linux.. Doubleclick done. Linux is so god damn weird sometimes.

  5. In my experience, Mint is great as long as you don't try to be a power user. If what you need to do on it can come through its app manager or built in shortcuts and commands? You're set. Gonna have a decent time.
The second you gotta open up the console and muck around in the software wiring, especially if there's a package you need that isn't on Mint's specific repos? You're gonna suffer and you might as well have just used raw Ubuntu at that point.

  6. 01:43:00 As long as you can install you own OS on Steam hardware and other ways of installing applications on Steam's OS without having to ask Steam's permission first they are fundamentally not doing the things that makes Apple and Google behavior on their mobile platforms so problematic from a you no longer meaningfully own your own property and computationally freedoms perspective.

  7. just because it says supports nvidia and AMD , don't pick a bad distro. get fedora.

  8. I built my first computer a couple of months ago and started using Linux(Ubuntu) for the first time. Both screen recording and in/out sound worked perfectly in both OBS and Discord. Good luck Linus!

  9. Luke is totally right about Windows Vista.. It was the goat. Those damn "Vista Compatible" stickers were most of the issues tbh.. If you had decent enough hardware. Worked like a charm and the OG Aero? nah .. nothing like it, not even today.

And also yes. Windows 10 was FINE but kinda meh.. I don't really like 10.
11 is actually better IF you disable copilot, defender(optional) and FEATURES updates, Just leave security updates if you really need it. And it's a pretty barebones OS with not really anything bothering the user. The only issue I have with 11, is that it's BORING.

  10. Just use GPU screen recorder (goated app)

  11. Thanks for turning the captions on 🙂

  12. There is a saying K.I.S.S 😅

  13. I love Debian stability and how it has extended the lifespan of my current laptop. I have learned a lot while using and maintaining it. I also used Fedora in the past but perhaps is too much for my old hardware. Linus has a good hardware, and Fedora is also stable. He should give it a try. I think Fedora with KDE or Debian with KDE are superior to Kubuntu. If you are into gaming, and want to take the most of newer hardware, bazzite looks pretty good as well. Linus choices seem poor to me 😂😅

  14. Investor at a Linux oriented laptop company, uses an asus.

I understand he wants to be the "average Joe" when it comes to these challenges, I just find this funny.

  15. I agree with Linus. We need to work on a distro that is truly ready for first time users. I never have any critical linux issues but that is because I started with it 15 years ago. We need to do better for the average first time user. Community will always win. I’d hate to see people get swallowed by the big tech overlords.

  16. TLDR: IMO Linux is like old Windows & Linus doesn't believe in the heart of the cards (linux) -> draws only bugs

I agree that finding the right distro can be surprisingly difficult. And even after that, you can still run into annoying issues like missing non-free codecs or other small compatibility hurdles.
Was gaming on windows from dos to windows 10 and had SO many strange bugs, game crashes, etc. The current "Linux" reminds me of the olden times in Windows.

What stood out to me though is that it sometimes feels like Linus assumes Linux to be worse than Windows and has a mindset that it WILL break. For example, when he says:

«I don't know if I was getting as much performance as I would've gotten on Windows» – Linus

That phrasing makes it sound like Windows is definetly better.

Hope Linus has less bugs from now on!

  17. Nerds and geeks were gamers then they grew up

  18. PoOS, Kubuntu… man… these are poor choices

  19. It rlly confuses me everytime how linus continues to pick distros that are out of date with the hardware he has other then bazzite for the htpc and it makes me laugh how linus missed the red text about nvidia hardware for HTPC setups with the steam gaming mode and the fact that bazzite had to change it just so people like linus see it in there face. The desktop space, drivers, proton and other important software used to make linux desktop the best it can be today is moving extremely quickly, if you have some the latest hardware you should not be using a distro that is a year or 2 behind, kubuntu, mint, ubuntu LTS are all distros that are behind and thats for a reason. LTS means long term service/old software/stable for that era of hardware. please just use a upstream distro that focuses on todays linux desktop development like fedora, bazzite, cachy, endeavouros, nobara.

  20. I use AI in my linux challenge. Migrated from windows to arch and never looked back.

Don't ask it subjective questions like "which distro should I run" tho.

  21. Razer must pay a fuckton in sponsorship for them to praise that atrocious quality this much

  22. I'm almost a year in using linux, and honestly? i didn't see that much toxicity? idk. still valid tho

  23. It's not tge format of your content. It's expecting to get Oranges from an Apple tree. Linux is not windows. It is also not MacOs. It's a different operating system, and just like MacOs or Windows, you had to learn how to use them.

Is it harder to learn Linux? Depends on your use case. But no matter your use case, or distro preference, you need to be okay with the fact that you're gnna get Oranges, not Apples or Lemons

  24. The Linux compatible filter in Steam does nothing on my system and I never hear anyone really mention it.

  25. The latest Linux challenge vid has 13k comments and counting lol. The internet is furious Linus chose PopOS again

  26. I WONDERED WHY SOMETIMES THE YOUTUBE APP WOULD JUST OPEN A SHORT WHEN I FIRST OPENED THE APP IT PISSED ME OFF EVERY TIME

  27. 52:22 Why not include this statement in this much detail in the video itself. Knowing that it will be brought up, explain the reasoning for the actions taken.

  28. I dont care about how good the intel chip is for gaming, do I still need to run my airconditioner in winter to actually run it at that performance?

  29. 20:43 killer mic! Good pick

  30. Luke, they are all blank as all of these are modeling stock photos and you dont want to give a photo with one brand shirt yp their competition when you audition to model for them. Also it basically goes TShirt works in your Teens ehen you have the body to pull a tight T off, in your 30's step it up to a polo shirt, when your 40+ its full button up time

  31. The guy with the tech tips is surprisingly inept. Literally in Linux every time I've installed and used OBS, I literally just installed it and used it. Many computers. Zero issues.

  32. Why not just add a CRT Monitor as a head and project linus face there without edits?

  33. What is this, Linux Tech Tips?!
Fun fact, Playstation 2 EyeToy works on Linux too out of the box 😀

  34. Unironically I use my steam deck as my only pc (until steam machine releases and I can compare prices & performance).
Linux has been great for me esp. As a repair technician constantly seeing windows laptops have aneurisms constantly.

Also proton ge has been a great friend & Linus should try kde connect.

  35. I used Iriun Webcam on windows, but I haven't really gotten it to work on Linux the way I've wanted to with forcing multi-cam. (It's still beta after all). But I can attest to how good the softeware is. Now if only it would end up on the Discover store for Fedora. the one thing about installing rps manually is that for me, for some reason it's really hard to uninstall. I don't know why, it just is. Probably something related to how the directories are set up or a bug, whatever the case, nothing ever installs properly because when I uninstall according to the directions, removing orphaned dependencies never works properly. i have to go hunting. And using autoremove to remove repositories will delete other stuff i don't want to. I admit Linux isn't perfect and I've gotten toxic a few times. But I'm learning to stop those impulses to dust and not let the impulses take control. self-improvement to become a better spokes person for linux. I support it, but there ARE a lot of flaws. Regardless of distro, or mission statement philosophy, until functions can work 99.9% of time easily and correctly without a blip, then linux has a long ways to go and it might never reach a particular goal post because while linux is just a kernel, the interfaces and ui/gui's that interact with the kernel all have different build philosophies it makes it hard for all linux distros to run in a uniform way. So I agree with the statement how open source is the greatest strength and greatest weakness at the same time. But I will say this, right now Linux is better than windows in most cases (this is an subjective opinion btw)

  36. I use to be a 70 guy, having had 970, 1070, 2070, but when the 3060 12gb came out back in the day I got it rather than a 3070 because from what I worked out and it has proven true so far, it is basically the top limot of what you need for 1080p gaming, anything larger you are only really seeing benifits in higher resolutions and to be honest 1080l is perfectly fine for about 80% of people, there is about 15% where they dont even 1080p game and the 5% left can pay the K tax for the larger cards

  37. I hate AI, But also Google search has gotten fucking awful lately… So if I can click on Google Gemini and have it give me the answers to something that would have taken me 45 minutes and it takes it 4 to 5 seconds to get the answer for me (yes I will research it's myself after), why WOULDN'T I do that?

  38. There's technically no refunds yet because the Trump administration is stalling and will try to appeal the court decision saying companies to obligated to refunds.
Also, this is not legal advice but I would imagine the direct importers that directly had to pay the tariffs through customs are the ones entitled to refunds. Most consumers are not directly paying customs, but they're paying the companies that handle the importing and distribution instead.
