  1. Thanks for watching! What are some of your NFC automation ideas? 🤔

  2. Great video, can you use the tags with google home? And how would you do that? Are you able to make a video using iPhone and google home with a NFC tag? Thankyou

  3. Nice video as always.
Is it possible to run automations via nfc tags with Apple Watch?
Or trigger Alexa routines via nfc tags on iPhone or better on Apple Watch?
    Thanks!

  4. How do I setup automation for Tuya App

  5. I have an iPhone how do I connect nfc to my Alexa ? For a timer or something

  6. The master of NFC!

  7. Hello there. Quick question, I want to make an interactive art gallery in the kindergarten in work at. What would I have to select to use an nfc tag as a shortcut to an audio of a child explaining what they drew on the picture the nfc tag is on? Is that possible?
Also, if I want to read the tag with the daycare iPad, does the app have to be installed and set up on every device? And is there a way an nfc tag is programmed to do the same thing for an android and an apple device?

  8. I've got a quick question, on iOS, I setup a shortcut automation like you showed, but every time I tap the NFC sticker, it pops up a little notice asking if I want to open it up with shortcuts instead of just running the task. How do you get it to just run the script as soon as you tap the sticker?

  9. So much info in one video! I’m just not used to it…and it’s great!

  10. Recently learned about these, trainual is using them to link to training courses, though charge 2.50 each. Do I have to use their tag or will any tag work?

  11. could you do a full in depth video on how to do the locations and drive time to someone from android in tasker

  12. This doesnt work. The NFC stickers take forever to activate and the shortcuts app doesnt have a plus button to create another step in automation

  13. Great video, what if I use iPhones but use google home? How to config google home on iPhones to automate things, hope you can shed some light… thanks

  14. Can anyone tell me a way to turn my google home automations using NFC tag and using IFTT

  15. What about integration with google assistant?

  16. Another great video.. really learning a lot from you. I ordered NFC stickers to use with homeassistant… so suppose I have one automation linked with one nfc sticker that will open the garage door. Would I be able to know that whose phone was used to scan the nfc sticker ???

    Kindly reply

  17. Nice video. I am trying to figure out how to usa a NFC Tag to make my phone run an action. I got it to work but everytime I scan the tag the phone ask me which app to read the NFC tag? I can't figure out how to set as the default app to read and run the action. I'm using Tasker as the APP that I want to run the trigger and action.
Can you help. What am I doing wrong

  18. Ifttt doesn't work with Google so the whole thing is useless

  19. Would it be possible to trigger reminders with these NFC tags? For example, if I put one on the furnace, that I scan when changing the filter, could that trigger a reminder 3 months after scanning the tag to remind me to change the furnace filter again?

  20. Idk why but I've been getting an "error while processing NFC tag" message after establishing each tags ID and scanning them successfully…. made the automations but when I scan I get that error…. very strange

  21. This is a helpful video! 👍 Thanks

  22. I may just not be savy enough but trying to lock and unlock my door with one I run hubitat and alexa but not sure how to write my tag I have android any info would be great

  23. Can you make a video on how to use an nfc tag to unlock your electric scooter if there is a way

  24. I usually get inspiration from your videos. You clearly rushed this one. There no way to follow you setting up the NFC tags with Android/tasker or the other options no matter how many times I paused it. Wasted a bunch of NFC tags too. Wish i could have that time back.

  25. for your apple send text of your location and how long it will take, can i scan that with an android and it works?

  26. I have the Philips Hue hub which controls my table, floor and TV lights but I also have switchbot curtains and a Google smart speaker and I've always wanted to be able to give 'one command' which would then subsequently turn on all these devices one by one…. can you possibly recommend an app which will make my wish come true. 🙏

  27. 🤯😵‍💫I'll need to watch this video several times in slow-mo to understand it all.

  28. Great video 🙂

  29. So my nfc tag always guves me a notification saying ‘tap to respond’ in correlation with the automation even though i turned off the dont ask prompt…any ideas on how to fix/change this issue?

  30. its nice to see you? it would be funny to hear "its nice to scan your phone" xD

  31. Got an NFC card and tried to use my phone as an NFC card but apparently it didn’t work with iPhones. 🤷‍♂️
Contact me if you find a way to get it to work.

  32. Can I use this on a light that isn’t a smart light?

  33. I have iphone 10 and the NFC tag option does not come up at the “create new automation”. Why is that?

  34. Great video. I have watched it several times. Can you help us find a way to bridge iOS to NFC tags and run Alexa routines? Please? Maybe put this on your to-do lists? I think there once was an iOS app called Automator, but it appears to no longer be in the app store. Surely would like to use NFC tags with some of my 100+ routines. And thanks for great advice and videos, Reed.

  35. Reed… great video by the way. Really got me thinking about all the stuff I could be using these tags for. Quick question…you mentioned that a single tag could be used by different phones for different purposes. I would like to scan a tag using my wife's iPhone and my Android in order to kick off unique IFTTT routines. Anything special that I need to do in order to accomplish this?

  36. Where do i go for the webhook documentation please?

  37. Can you help me? Whenever i scan a tag it tells me to chose betwean tasker and sansung tags, i cant remove it. Please help

  38. Hey Reed! Is there any way to trigger Alexa/Google Home routines by tapping phone to NFC?
