With a 5060 low profile you can make an ITX pc and install the SteamOS. Thats the real endgame. A Velka 5 with a Zotsc 5060 one fan is also good.

the last point is really nice, it's only gonna get worse with windows the more of a monopoly they have. I don't think I really want to make the switch, as I just KNOW there will be some games or software that'll be a massive PITA to get working on it. but I'm very glad there at least IS an option, because anything apple related can absolutely get bent

I'll compare it to the game system that I wanted it to replace. It's a price issue for me, nothing else. I really wanted to play steam indies for a reasonable cost.

I dont think SteamOS, but Linux doesnt try to sell you anything. The hardware support and optimazation is in my opinion what really is unique to SteamOS. But is it worth the price?
