out of the box, they can't make good competitive keyboards but there gaming mouse is industry leading
Hot take but razer has never made a good keyboard. Their viper mice have been pretty good but everything else is just gamerslop.
Razer is needs to get into the cnc aluminum keyboards. I don’t buy Hall effect keyboards for the simple reason your stuck with a small selection of swapable switches or none at all! I just bought the Crush80 keyboard it’s extremely heavy with aluminum and it sets the bar of how a keyboard should sound! Gaming keyboards are nice to look at but nowhere near the quality!
Personally, as I'm from the EU, most chinese HE keyboards would cost me about the same price with shipping + taxes and all of that, and a Wooting seems a bit too expensive. I currently have the Huntsman TKL TE and enjoyed the BlackWidow in the past as well, so I would trust this new keyboard more than the chinese ones, as it also works with their new web software.
Even if the design didn't change, overall to me it looks like a crazy good deal considering it's not from a no name company, and the direct competition like Logitech and SteelSeries doesn't provide more value.
And they fall short not releasing a white version , not everyone wants plain black lol

I love the absence of branding on the 65% keyboard, love it, but I'm a 75% guy.
My Magger68 HE died yesterday so I took my $45 Best Buy rewards and picked this up. For a Razer board, it sounds pretty great! Especially the Huntsman line which have always sounded like screws being shaken around inside of a tin can.
That's definitely a gaming keyboard.

I think it's good to see Razer putting competitive things on the market, and at a decent price. I'm a full layout user, so I probably won't be picking this up. And time will tell if the elite eports players will adopt this, or go back to what they're confident and familiar with.
I'd actually love a HE Tartarus. Get rid of the thumbstick for keys, and LFG!
I had one from them that looked just like this one (without the HE, and any lighting for that matter) a decade ago. What is old is new again with window dressing? This definitely reads like they just want to have an HE out, and youre not wrong about how itll sell, its a Huntsman Mini. Its probably already on its way to a bunch of people's desks. I personally am gonna stick with my deathstalker v2 pro tkl

I want to love Razer so badly….. but I have a Deathadder V3 Pro, Huntsman Mini Optical, and Blackshark V3 Pro…. and my headset has horrible disconnection issues. My mouse has scroll wheel problems. My keyboard has binding springs. The only Razer product on my desk that ISN'T a problem is the Atlas mouse pad.
So you can have 50% key press?? Like for throttle in racing games?
Does the HE model still have the "controller emulation" feature?
What's the point of TKL if you have the 75% layout which has the same functionality as TKL but a lot more compact. The extra "exposed" keys of TKL can be put into the Fn layer of a 75% keyboard. You don't often press Insert, Home, End, Scroll Lock or similar keys like that, so those can be tucked away in the Fn layer of the PgUp, PgDown, Del, etc or even the F-row keys.
So sick of this HE trend. Fortnite what have you done
