Comments

  1. I am aware of some reports of incorrect gamma tracking on this display… I have checked my unit with Calibrite's hardware/software tools, and it passes validation, with only a tiny calibration tweak from out of the box – very impressive! So as far as I can tell with my eyes and data – no gamma issue! The reports could be a bad batch, or using wrong modes, like HDR in the desktop etc. Happy to explore further if more widespread.

  2. I’m just waiting for the PG27UCWM. 32 inch is too big and less PPI for 4K

  3. I can't wait to buy this monitor to replace my 2012 ASUS VS239. I've been searching for it in stores every single day for the last three months, but here in Portugal it's still selling for over €1,100.

  4. 1000$ for that first one lol wild. Hard pass

  5. i got the XG32UCWMG last month, i was originally looking for a monitor with these xg34 specs, but i ended up trading in a 2x ultrawide setup for a single 4k 16:9 …

these new asus ROG Oleds are the best displays on the market this year, imo…

    great review….

i want to get this monitor eventually

  6. £750 online. I went with the Alienware which was £100 less with Dell rewards and a work discount 🙂

  7. Would a woled be more comfy on the eyes ?

  8. Rubbish.

  9. Wee question Marcus, can you change the colour of Asus logo from red on the front of the panel?

  10. Hello friend, I recently bought the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH, and by accident a little bit of cream fell on the screen. I tried to clean it with distilled water and it faded a little, but it is still somewhat visible with some sun reflections. In the manual Samsung indicates that alcohol should not be used, can you advise me what product to use in this case for my matte panel?

  11. So the black film tech is the same for all monitors with this panel. That comes directly from Samsung. It's just marketed differently by different brands.

  12. 5k likes and i get a pc from @pccentric

  13. Do they do a bigger lower refresh rate version?

  14. Been a week since I've bought this monitor, no regrets!

  15. I have 5080 rtx prime im looking get a 4k 32in I see lots people say its going run harder cause all the pixels double from 1440 feels like a lot of reviews im hearing people trying talk out of 4k i dont play competitive gaming more city builder rts games some triple a but all solo for most part and seems be so many options just want the best image on screen current 1440 32 curved Samsung g5 is muted and dull in colors and brightness in hdr nits around 300.

  16. When i see ROG i instantly skip. Maybe good or at least mid tier but totally overpriced stuff. Not worth unless you are arab oil prince.

  17. I think you're the first one to have both this Asus model and Alienware one. Which one would you pick? Which one takes less space on the desk? (Distance from the wall)

  18. I hate seeing monitors that aren't even out yet in America 😭

  19. rgb stripe ?

  20. This monitor is obsolete already. 2K4K 39" monitors is where its at…

  21. Nah, I'll wait for a non-ultrawide option

  22. Seriously, no. I will never spend €1300 on a monitor that lasts 3 years instead of 10.

  23. Every time I think I can settle on which one to get, there's an issue. Now I see the people saying there's some gamma problem with this and washed out colors.

  24. Can you please try the new Samsung 32" Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH)? Thanks

  25. I look forward to you testing the new Alienware 39 incher

  26. I found one listing although because its new its kinda shaky at the moment
I was going to say that the overall size of 34 inch vs 32 inch is about the same so its really a question of whether you want the height of 32 or the wide of 34
34 also has less vertical pixels and pixel density
In my region the current price is about the same as 32 inch so yeahh (and nevermind the price of 39 inch or more)

One more thing is the FPS if 360 or even 480 were the standard perhaaps that might be an advantage
Unfortunately the 360 ones cost way more and 280 is kinda merely normal

  27. Im not sure of the exact curves
I wonder if the different manufacturers can use different curves to see which is the most popular
Or perhaps they all just want to use the same one…whatever that is

Im not super sure of the details between say dell and aSUS and presumably msi will have their own too and then who knows

Whether intentionally dell is usally on the cheaper side no idea about msi while LG and aSUS and sansung supposedly try to have more although whether that justifies the price
aSUS entire lineup pretty much has the sensor at least although I think msi is working on that too and gigabyte?

    Also
    Marketing
LG/aSUS/sansung have the most marketing by far
    While dell uhhh hmmm

  28. Added to my Amazon watchlist to be bought at a more sensible price at a later date. It's nice but not three-quarters of a grand nice!

  29. The black shield thing is just an Asus marketing term, the panel coatings across the Alienware and Asus will be identical!

  30. I think you got the price of the display wrong mate.

  31. Holy fuck most of these comments HAVE to be bots.

Never seen so much bs negativity in comments for a bloody review

  32. Once you go OLED there's no turning back

  33. I hate monitors that have the cable tidying so visible. No matter what angle you view this monitor from, you’re stuck looking at crappy wires near the bottom of it. Hopefully you can mount it on to an arm to get better control but otherwise it just has the same problem as every other monitor like it.

  34. Everything I could ask for in a monitor starts with 39" 4K OLED period. Anything else is a waste of my time.

  35. bro can afford that expensive monitor but not a windows 11 license lol

  36. lol the toe

  37. 34" ultrawide doesn't have enough vertical height

  38. GB
Seriously, BUY ME THIS MONITOR! 🤪

  39. Just picked up the following for 629$ (Still a few left if you wanna snag the deal) on Amazon : Acer Predator X32 | 31.5" UHD 3840 x 2160 Quantum Dot OLED 1700R Curved Gaming Monitor | AMD FreeSync Premium | 240Hz | 0.03ms | 1000nits

  40. Only LG and MSI. Asus if you want reclamations.

  41. Tandem oled? Not worth the risk of grey banding
