Today I go where no adult within an age range of 21-58 has gone before. I went deep into the abyss of Minecraft PVP. Trying to understand why players in this niche competitive space use some of the worst gaming mice imaginable. The horrors that I have seen are unspeakable. The conversations I’ve had were one way. But my curiosity got the better of me, I had to understand why the used such garbage. Like who uses a ROCCAT AIMO IN 2026?! How are these even getting hold of these mice in the first place? Do they just scour e-bay in hopes of finding one? It’s insane. They’re insane. I’m insane. The levels of brain rot that has infested my mind have warped my reality. Yo so for modern pvp its recommended to get a mouse that can double click, not only for the block placements but also to perform techniques like stunning more consistant, although they are possible to perform without double clicking but there is a difference between the double click and non double click stun and the double click stun is just a little bit better and easier to perform.
double clicking is still important in modern pvp for things such as shield stuning and stun slaming and high cps in crystal pvp, u can look them up ur self if u want, and minecraft can only handle 1000hz polling rate, this is y people, including myself💀😭🥀🙏, still use the model o

So basically instead of trying to be better, minecraft players decided to use shitty 10$ double click mice to boost their speed of clicking … (I thougt it was cuz 12 yo can only afford 10$ mice)

i looooove my op1 8k, used the g pro for a while and grabbed the 8k as per Viscose's recommendation, and instantly fell in love. suits my grip style soooo well, and i love how modable it is. it's now my daily driver for comp shooters and kvks, can't recommend it enough. currently use it with jade air dots on the artisan key83 mid.

As for the topic – yeah, I can verify that kids / teenagers do fall for the marketing A LOT. Many even get multiple trash mice just because they are not 100+$ and "just" around 50$ or at times less. Yet they are so easily influenced by some gimmick features or visual presentation. Noone really cares about performance.
Which is kinda sad.
At the same time it differs not much from your typical audience who will still buy multiple top tier gaming mouse just because sensor, haptic feedback buttons and what not. Same thing just more expensive 😀 The fact that it is "more validated" is debatable.
p.s. like how "competitive" can't go by without "exploiting" … it is really a norm these days?!
I actually use the superstrike for modern pvp, it's well balanced and because of the rapid trigger you can still butterfly click on it pretty well
I am currently using Atk R1 Pro (4k) and I got this mouse two months ago I specifically want a mouse which looks minimalistic with good shape and sensor but main thing adjustable debounce so back in 2022 I just want a mouse which can just double and drag click I dont care if the mouse is 300grams or have bad sensor I just want a mouse with double clicking but now even
* There was a technique to disable Shield called shield stuns but in 1.20.4 they removed it*
Now if anyone want a good mouse for modern pvp there is almost no need for double clicking mouse (specifically)
